chapter 9

Amys POV

I couldn't sleep. I woke up and looked outside. It was beautiful, all the stars with the black night. I opened the window and crawled on the roof to get a better view

Shadows POV

I heard something in Amy's room. After everything I was worried about her. I went into the room and saw a bed in the corner with a drawer beside it, and a window in the other of the bed. I decided to look outside since I have nothing else to do.

As I looked outside I have noticed someone was on the roof. I opened the window slowly and went up quietly on the roof and noticed it was Amy. Her hair flew in the wind as she gazed up at the stars. I went up behind and sat beside her. She glanzed my way but back at the stars.

"Couldn't sleep?" I say quietly. She nodded and layed back. "It's so amazing how the stars look so perfectly all scattered around in a dark night" she said like it was in a poem. I layed back with her and stared at the stars.

"What do you see shadow?" She asked still looking at the sky. I looked at her and said "I see an amazing girl who makes me smile every time she smiles, gazing up at the stars, and a piece of a star just to make the shine in her eyes, and I think she's more important that that piece of star". She looked up at me with her eyes shinning bright from the moon. I smiled and put a hair back in its place so i can see her face better. She then giggles and hugged me. I hugged back and we continued gazing at the stars.

"Shadow" "yes?" "What's gonna happen?" Amy asked with a worried tone. "What do you mean?" "Its just..." she pauses. Almost deadly. "After everything that's happened I'm so confused.  We've kissed like three times, sonic's being a jerk, and we haven't even known each other long. I like you, I really do, but I'm just so confused to what's going on with us" she says it as she shivers from the cold. I pull her closer. I felt sad that she was right. Were acting so close and yet it's only been a few days and one of those days I got tackled.

"Amy, I don't know what we are, but I do know I like you too. I'd love to be closer to you and be there to help out everything with you." She looks up at me as I speak and I feel my heart pounce. I smile at her back and we decided to go on dates so that we can see what will happen. I feel alive.  I've never been this close with anyone.

After an hour or two I noticed Amy fell asleep. I smiled and picked her up bridal style and hopped down on a tree close to my room. I then see the window and I jumped in.

I open my door and went into Amy's room. I layed her down and covered her with the blankets. I closed the door and went to my room and went to sleep.

Amy's POV

I wake up in my room even though I remember sleeping on the roof. I get up with the casual bed head. I go to my mirror and brush it. After my hair was fine I go get changed into a t-shirt with the words "bite me!" On it and some jeans since I don't know if I'm going anywhere today.

I walk out my door and head for the kitchen to make some breakfast. I decide to make some scrambled eggs and ham with some bacon so I put on an apron and started cooking.

15 minutes passed and sleeping beauty finally woke up. He walked downstairs yawning until he saw the food. He went to the table and glared at it.

"Stop having a staring contest with the food, you aren't gonna win" I say with a chuckle. "Well what if I did win" he said with a grin. I looked back at him and smiled. "If you do win, and you won't, I would poke my eyes with an onion" I say promising. He laughed and rolled his eyes and say down to eat. I then too sat down to eat.

After 10 minutes we both finished our breakfast. I picked up the plates and washed them in the sink. In the corner of my eye, I saw shadow go to the living room to watch tv. I smiled and put the plates where their supposed to be.

"So what you wanna do today" I say as I go up to shadow and sit next to him. "Idk, probably just nothing". He said not facing me. I go get my phone and called up blaze

(B: blaze)
(A:Amy)

B: hello?
A:hey blaze, wanna go to the park for a picnic?
B: sure, there's nothing else to do, who else is coming
A: well I'm gonna ask rouge, cream, Tails, knuckles, and maybe sonic, idk, I'm taking shadow with me, you can bring anyone
B: cool, when?
A: at 4pm, can you bring some food or supplies btw?
B:Sure
A:okay byeeee
B:bye

I hang up and put on another shirt. A long sleeve with some lace on it. "HEY SHADOW!" I yell. "WHAT" "YOU WANNA COME TO A PARTY" "SURE" "GREAT NOW GO GET READY LAZY ASS" "FINE!"

I laugh a bit and get the food ready.

"C'mon shadow, hurry up" I say leaning on the door. "Fine" shadow said walking down the stairs with a scarf. "Yay! Now let's go!" I say dragging shadow to my car and we leave off to the park.

As I was driving, shadow was fixing his scarf. "What's with the scarf?" I asked while keeping my eyes to the road. "I thought I'd look nice but now the little shit is getting on my nerves" he said trying to untangle it. I laughed and we made it to the park.

"We here!" I say. I grab the stuff for the picnic and look for a tree. "Why are we looking for a specific tree, they all look the same to me" shadow said looking around. "Well I reserved a tree for the picnic, besides its not the tree what's important it's the amount of bugs that'll be there cause I hate bugs " I say walking towards the place. Shadow follows and help me set up for the picnic. Blaze, silver, cream, tails and rouge came. Rouge said she invited someone but they'll be late. We all settled up and started talking and eating. Then I hear foot steps coming. I turn around to see....
