Chapter 4

“Hey sweet thang” I nice, hot, sexy voice answered on the other line.

“Um…may I ask who’s speaking?” I looked at Alexis she was falling asleep and her head was on the window, she is like a little sister to me.

“Jason, remember we used to go out!” Jason was my ex we used to go out but he cheated on me, and that’s why I dumped his sorry ass! Because the one he cheated on me was supposedly my other best friend Wendy!

“Oh yeah the one that broke my heart into millions of pieces, right?!” I sarcastically said into my phone.

“Um…what?! No I wasn’t calling for that I was calling to see if your friend Alexis is single?” I was shocked by the question, but I didn’t know who Alexis did like but still I didn’t want her to go through the same pain I went.

“Yes,” I was now getting nervous, why would I say that, now I felt like an idiot. AND I was putting my friendship in jeopardy!

“Really? Who?” I could hear him smirk knowing that I was lying.

“Um…Prodigy…from…um Mindless Behavior. Yeah Prodigy from Mindless Behavior” NOW I really did know Alexis was going to kill me!!

“Oh” he sounded convinced, Yes! Know all I needed to do is not tell Alexis. Well maybe I can tell her but if people ask we will just say it’s a lie. Yeah a lie.

“Yeah, well Jason I have to go you know me, busy, busy, busy” I was about to hung up when I heard something on the other end that was drop-to-the-floor-dead!

“EJ before you go I want to say ‘I love you’!” He sounded serious and I was always bad at being mean to people I’m too nice to people. But something went over me right away and I exploded…

“WHAT YOU DON’T LOVE ME, IF YOU LOVED ME YOU WOULDN’T OF CHEATED ON ME! YOU ASSWHOLE. KNOW ALL OF A SUDDEN YOU THINK BY JUST CALLING I WILL CHANGE MY MIND ON YOU? HELL NO NEGRO, I TRUSTED YOU AND WENDY THAT YOU GUYS WERE SUPPOSIDLY DOING HOMEWORK! I HATE YOUR ASS AND I HOPE YOU GO TO HELL” I hung up and know Alexis was awake and saying if I was okay, that’s when I realize I am sobbing my eyes out but don’t know why, or maybe I do know why.

“Calm down EJ, what happen who was it?” She looked at me with concern she never seen me burst out AND especially never be rude to ANYBODY who I barely knew.

With tears in my eyes I still didn’t answer the question. When all of a sudden I hear a big crash in the front and I realize that we crashed into a semi-truck. I could hear Alexis calling my name while my arm started bleeding, I saw that Alexis had her whole face scratch up and bloody. It was my entire damn fault for letting Jason get to me. Then all of a sudden my head hit the window and everything went black. Last thing I heard was the ambulance and my best friend crying because of how hurt she was.
