Chapter 13:

“Yeah, let’s go while Prodigy is sleeping.” She closed the door behind her quietly so she couldn’t wake him up.

We went into my car and headed to Los Padrenos, a Mexican restaurant. We ordered, I ordered some Mexican style pancakes, eggs, and some toast and orange juice, and she ordered the same thing I did. Alexis and I were sitting in a booth. As we waited for the food I admired the place. There was somewhat of people. Somewhere just staring at Alexis and I wondering as if we were from another planet.

I was thinking maybe after our food arrives I can tell Alexis. Twenty minutes later our food arrived so I knew it was time for me to tell her.

“So…um…Alexis…” I stuttered.

“Yeah?” she asked with a mouth full of food.

“I found…” I kept stuttering “Um…something y-you should k-know about P-prodigy.” I felt my cheeks start to burn up I didn’t know I could tell Alexis but I had to before she found out herself.

“EJ spill it out already!” She said impatiently.

“Okay but promise not to get mad?” I just wanted to make sure she wouldn’t get pissed off.

“Sure, whatever.” She was almost done swallowing her food. I put her fork down and she knew that I was serious.

“So um…Chres told me that Prodigy had another girlfriend named Jessica, she’s ratchet and all that. But yesterday Chresento said that a message popped up on Prod’s phone and it was…” I bit my lip trying to get out. “Jessica saying that she couldn’t wait for Prodigy to give her the D!” I blurted out; I just couldn’t keep a secret from my best friend.

“What, your lying!” Alexis accused me of lying really did hurt.

“No I’m not Alexis why would I want to ruin the ONLY time you been happy for the past couple of years? Huh?! Why?!” I raised my voice a little but not too much. Alexis had tears in her eyes, one escaped from her and it ran down her white, rosy cheek, and down to her lip.

“Why, would Prodigy do this to me?” She put her hands up to her face, which was tilted down, and started crying. I went to sit on her side, and hugged her.

“Come, on Alexis I know your hurt. But maybe me and you can go talk to Prod about why he’s doing this to you.” I assured her.

I could feel that she was nodding. We tried finishing eating even though we both lost our appetite.

 We headed to the hotel.

“Alexis?” I was feeling bad. Because when she looked up at me, her eyes were puffy red from all the crying (and she doesn’t have her eye patch anymore).

“Yeah?” She sniffled.

“I love you!” I said trying to make her smile.

“Lesbian!” I knew Alexis would say that. So I knew I had to say it. I could see she had a little smile before we headed toward the elevator.

In the elevator I tried fixing her look, so she didn’t look that upset. When we got to her door she took a deep breath and opened the door.

“Prodigy!” She called out. Alexis sat on the foot of her bed, and I sat with her.

“Yeah, bae!?” I heard toward the bathroom “I’m taking a shower.” He called back again.

“Oh, okay well can I talk to you when you’re done?” She sounded nervous.

“Sure…I’ll be out in 5” he replied. I could hear him turn off the water.

“But wait EJ’s here!!” She called back.
