This morning I didn't know what had happened. Some say there was a car accident the night before, but it didn't worry me at all until I walked into home room to not see my best friend sitting at her desk. She was never late, I tried to think of the possibilities. Maybe she slept in, maybes she's sick. But she's never sick. I pulled out my phone in homeroom while everyone else talked to their nitch.
I quickly typed into my phone, "where are you?" to the contact named Kylie.
No answer. I took a deep breath, of course it's just my anxiety tricking me again. Kylie is my only friend and the only person whoever understood me, there is no possible way she can be dead. The rain outside made me feel like something was wrong. Then the principle started the morning announcement on the intercom, his voice sounded more serious than the usual routine. I gulped.
"Today I'm sure many of you heard what had happened last night to three beautiful young intelligent students. We lost three wonderful girls with the names, Anna Veira, Chelsea Wang, and Kylie Pacheco to a horrible car accident. May we all take a moment of silence."
I was shocked and could not believe what I had just heard. I looked around the room to every one around me closing their eyes, even one girl cried because she was Anna's best friend. I quickly ran out of the classroom and out of the school into the pouring rain. I broke down into sobs realizing I lost my best friend.
