Gerard and I had been living together for the past two weeks. He slept in my bed and we entwined our legs and arms, laughing when we had to maneuver around my bump. I didn't know what to classify ourselves as but I knew I didn't want to go back to a life without him.
There was one Saturday morning where I awoke to bright light streaming through my window. I groaned and moved my head, hoping to find Gerard's stable chest but he wasn't there. I felt a quick pain in my side, as soon as it appeared it was gone. I thought nothing of it. Instead, I sat up and looked around for Gerard. Nothing. Not on the floor, not tangled in the blankets. I could feel myself start to panic, "Gerard?" I asked too quietly for anyone to actually hear.
"G-bear? Gee?" I called as I walked, more like waddled, out of my room. The smell of roasting peppers and onions hit my nose.
Gerard turned around the corner, spatula in hand, and smiled when he saw me. He was completely naked, save for boxers "Hey babe!" He kissed the tip of my nose. I'd like to get use to this.
"Whatcha mak-?" I started to ask, before feeling a sharp pain in abdomen. It didn't hurt incredibly bad, just enough to surprise me.
"I'm making the Gerard special! It's also called 'Whatever is in Kendra's fridge'."
I laugh it off, walking towards the stool on the breakfast bar and sitting down. Gerard places two plates on the table, one for me, one for himself. He slid onto the stool next to me, rubbing my back. I took a spoonful of the delicious breakfast, feeling another pain, dropping my spoon.
"You okay?" Gerard asked, mouth full of food.
"I think I'm having contractions. Or Braxton Hicks."
"Oh my god, are you fucking serious?!" He screamed rubbing my stomach.
"Yes! Haha, we might be having a baby today!" I said, happily.
