I already don't know what to tell you all, and we're on the second chapter only! Wow, what a great start! (Note sarcasm) But anyways, you'll know what happened after Garroth left, and some drama should start soon! I'll try to make this chapter as long as I can! Enjoy!

~~~LET THE STORY BEGIN~~~

GARROTH'S POV(Still have to wait a bit before knowing what happened with you!)

Laurance wanted to talk to Aphmau, probably about the new girl, the one he brought back. I haven't had a chance to see her yet, but that's not the point.

I went to see Aphmau, she was near the treehouse. I told her about Laurance wanting to talk to her as soon as possible. After that, I noticed there was a girl with her. It must be the new girl! Aphmau left quickly and ran to the gates, leaving me there, in front of the girl. There was an awkward silence, before I decided I should be the one introducing myself first.

I cleared my throat. *Ahem* "U-Um... H-Hi, I'm Garroth. Nice to meet you... um..." I realised I never got her name, so I was just waiting for her to tell me.

"Y-Y/N, that's my name!" She seem to be feeling the awkwardness too. Great, just great!

"So, what exactly happened to you? I've heard you came out of the portal."

" I... don't exactly remember my past, I only remember what happened since I woke up." I didn't exactly understand how that could of happen or how it felt, really, because I remember my entire childhood. Just as I was starting to talk, I saw Laurance come from behind Y/N. He put his finger on his lips, to tell me to keep silent about him being there. Then he started to wave his hands in the air. I think he was trying to tell me that he wanted to talk to her, and asked if I could leave. So I just tried saying: 

" T-That sounds... really strange and... interesting... but I... eh... have to... go?"

I looked at Laurance from behind Y/N's shoulder, and he was nodding a big 'yes'. I was glad I found out what he wanted me to do, because if it wasn't that, things would of became even more awkward then they already were, if it's even possible.

So, I just turned around and left, going back to the party. I saw Dante was still on patrol, so I went and check on him. He was around the gates, and then I had an idea.

" Dante, still on patrol?"

"Yeah, well someone has got to protect the village, right?"

"Let me take your patrol, you go and take a break, ok?" I told him. He seemed surprise, and I know his pride wasn't going to let him accept the offer that easily, and I understand that, being a guard and all. Plus, we both had been head guards, and I know he really wanted to protect the village. I was going to try hard and convince him to let me take his place.

"No, I'm fine. The party is more for you guys to enjoy anyways, so I'll just stay and make sure everyone's safe."

"Dante, I understand what you mean and all, but really, if you never take a break and enjoy life, you're going to regret it. I swear, I should know."

"But Garroth, you're not even a guard from this village anymore, you don't HAVE to help."

" I don't HAVE to, but I WANT to, that's the difference..."

"Ok, fine, you win this one! Thank you, Garroth."

" It's my pleasure." I smiled at Dante, and he did too. Then, he turned around and left, enjoying the party. I leaned on the gate and took out my sword, ready for a fight at any moment. I just stand there and kept watch of the village.

I looked at the sky filled with stars and thought to myself.

What a beautiful night...

LAURANCE'S POV (finally...)

After Aphmau came and talk to me, I learned that the girl had woken up. At least, she's okay, I'm glad I could help save her. Don't get me wrong, I don't have feelings for her or anything, I don't even know her. But, being a guard, it's my instinct to help and save people.

I decided it might be smart to actually go talk to her, you know? Aphmau told me Y/N was near the treehouse when she left her. I hope she's still there. When I arrived, I heard Garroth talking to the girl. I silently walked behind her, and shushed Garroth. I tried to tell him if he could leave cause I wanted to talk to her, and he looked a bit confused. At last, he understood and left. The girl was still standing there, just looking at the sky. It was my chance.

"Hey..." I said.

She turned around quickly to look at me. I gave her a small smile. She just looked at me. (awkward!!!)I should probably just introduce myself and talk to her, because this silence could be long.

" You must be Y/N, right?" I said

"Yeah, you?"

"I'm Laurance, a guard, if you couldn't tell. I can't say I'm the best, but I try." I wanted to make her laugh or something, and it must of worked, because she giggled and smiled.

"Oh, so YOU are Laurance... Nobody told me you were so goofy. Anyway, thanks for saving me."

"It's my job, even though I didn't do... much. You seem a lot better then when I found you, you're a lot more happy."

"I mean, I'm not followed by a shadow-thingy, running for my life, and knocked out cold by it afterwards."

"Said like that, it sure does make sense. Say, want to go back to the party, or stay here and be awkward?"

She had a little smile then turned around to look at the sky. I walked next to her and looked at the stars too.

" You like stars?" I asked.

" Yes, for some reason they feel like home to me, even with my memory loss. They're really pretty tonight."

" They are." I didn't question her about the whole memory loss situation, because Aphmau already explained that to me. Then Y/N turned to me, smile and said:

"Let's get back!"

We walked back to the party, the vision of the stars still in our heads. I felt light. I looked back at the sky, and saw a shooting star. I made a wish quickly.

I wish to have a good ending, to be happy in life, and I wish that for all my friends too. May we all find a way to be satisfied in our future...

Here is the chapter for today guys! I'm having a lot of fun writing this book, so I'll just write as much as I can while it lasts! Finally you meet Laurance, but it's not love... yet. Maybe you'll never know what was your first impression about him... or maybe you'll have to wait. Any who, I'm just rambling now, so I'll just stop and go... somewhere! Next chapter should come out Wednesday or maybe even before! I'll try... I can't promise!
