And if sometimes classes could seem long, endless, the two last hours were spent as if they only lasted five minutes! With Ed, Al and Winry, we exchanged an anxious look as we headed toward the teachers' office. In the corridor, we saw James, Envy and Greed and I waved them, gesturing them to reach us. Once we were gathered, we looked for Roy Mustang's office, office that we easily found, because it was the last one of the corridor. James was the one who knocked on the door, after having taken a deep breath in, and a deep breath out. Why were we so anxious? I did not know... Roy was someone nice (and handsome) in FMA, but as a teacher... He seemed worse... No one answered the door and we decided to open it lightly to have a peck. But as I leaned on the door to open it lightly, it brusquely opened and the seven of us fell on the ground, harshly. In front of us, sat behind his desk, in all his majesty, was Mr. Mustang, his chin resting on top of his hands. He welcomed us with a heavy laugh while we struggled to stand up, being all tangled in each other, as Riza looked at us. She was the one who opened the door!! I knew it... Hughes was next Roy's desk, leaning slightly on it. Once we were up and our clothes were brushed clean, James pulled a little my shirt, pointing me someone with his chin. A brown haired girl with green eyes. A detail caught my attention though...
-Well! Mustang said suddenly, cutting my train of thoughts, I see we're all here!
-The other homunculi are missing though, James noted.
-Ah yeah... But that's not a problem right?
At this very moment, I just realized it, but how did James do to take care of seven homunculi?! I gave him an interrogating look and he laughed slightly, answering silently he would tell me later. But I would know soon enough.
-I want you to tell me how you did to help your current friends, he told the boy and me.
I put a hand on my chest, smiling confidently.
-I'll begin then.
And I started explaining them how Ed and Al fell in my garden a night of summer, how I and my brother hid them from our parents, even when we panicked because they got their bodies back and Al was a walking skeleton with flesh! Then how we met Winry while going shopping to find them better clothes than my brother's ones. Ed also added that they discovered something named "video games" and it was really funny. James burst out laughing while both Envy and Greed nodded in agreement.
-The best game is Skyrim, Ed stated bluntly.
-You wish pipsqueak! Divinity: Original Sin is better!! Envy replied.
Al just shrugged.
-Personally, I play Candy Crush....
-A MMORPG like WoW is better!! Greed said.
And there was their debate on what game was better and all... I stopped them and showed them my phone, sure that I was right.
-Pokemon GO is the best guys, I rolled my eyes.
The girl sat a little further coughed slightly, maybe noted because of our little argument... James laughed and nodded.
-I agreed though, but I love all the games!
-Hey, you forgot LOTRO!! Ed suddenly said.
I laughed.
-My brother plays the Lord of the Rings Online, I explained.
-Anyway, can we carry on the subject? the unknown girl spoke.
The annoyance was clearly present in her tone and I was starting to think I wouldn't like her. It was now James' turn to tell us how he welcomed his seven friends. He explained us he was the son of a very rich CEO and his parents, very taken by their business, were never at home. Seeing he had a big house, it was no problem for him to easily take seven homunculi with him, and even hide them. Okay, he was a rich guy!! That explained everything! Winry wasn't saying anything since the beginning, so I didn't expect her quick whisper.
-I don't really like the girl there... she told me, she seems arrogant...
I nodded discreetly but answered. I didn't want to judge at first sight though...
-Let's see what she'll say... I told Winry.
Then, I noticed the small detail again. The girl didn't walk, she rather rolled... She headed her wheelchair in front of us and talked quietly. Her tone was calm, not annoyed like the past times she spoke. I had to admit it... I really liked her voice. Her name was Elena. She explained us that she saw Roy, Riza and Hughes wandering together in the town while she was out to take some air. Being a big fan of FMA, she couldn't pass by without fangirling and she explained them everything about life here. Her mother was a famous singer and Elena could easily pay an apartment for the three characters of her favorite series without being noticed. She wasn't alone at home, she had her father with her, though he didn't really care. She also told us, not without few tears shining at the corner of her eyes, that she always felt like a burden for her parents, due to her state. Without any shame though, Elena explained us she had a big accident three years ago and her spinal cord was paralyzed. I was scared I judged too fast, as I expected from myself... Elena wasn't some pretentious and arrogant girl like I expected, but rather a sad and serious girl who was so happy she could find three characters of FMA in the streets... At the end, it was Roy's turn to speak.
-Well, she helped us find a job as teachers and we're here. We can meet here if there's a problem for any of you if you want! he proposed us.
We all nodded and, while the others came out, I stayed in the office. I asked James to wait for me out of here though...
-What is it you want to say, Kathleen? the ex colonel asked me.
I looked at Elena and bowed 90 degrees in front of her. She was panicked, not understanding my move, and blushed, embarrassed.
-D-don't do that!! You did nothing to deserve bowing in front of me... she said.
I stood straight again and sighed slightly.
-I want to apologize, Elena. I didn't say it, but I judged you at first sight and I'm ashamed, because my judgement was wrong, I admitted looking away.
But she wasn't angry at all. She came close to me and took one of my hands in hers.
-People often judge me because I never act good at first, don't worry about that, she stated softly.
I nodded and smiled.
-Come with us during breaks! I said, we can all be friends!
-You'd do that...?
-Of course! With James, we just met, we aren't even in the same class! So come reach us! It's funnier if we're more!!
Elena smiled brightly.
-I'd be glad to join!! she exclaimed.
//hello guys! I have a day late, I know, but... Hehe, connection was not working so well... See you... In five minutes cuz I've been tagged!!! T^T again....
PS: I do not own the video games and all the references!
Other thing, I do not play WoW though I'm sure it's a good game, or candy crush cuz I don't like it XD but I played Divinity, Skyrim and LOTRO, that's sure!! ^^
