Two Wrongs Make A Right

Michael's POV

     "What do you mean 'the others'?" She says more concerned.

     Well, I had two girlfriends two years ago. They were both at different times so no I wasn't cheating." I tell her. She turns to face me. I continue telling her the story.

*Flashback begins*

      I was going over to see Kayla. I met her through other friend and after a few dates or so, we had started dating. We were happy. We hung out a lot. Went on a few more dates.  I thought we were happy. I had walked over to Kayla's after band practice. When the door opened, it was definitely not what I expected to see. I saw a shirtless Jared with Kay not far behind. Jared was the school player. We had about a week left of school before graduation. We're getting off track here. Kayla wasn't far behind.

     "Who's at the door JJ," She asks. She comes to the doorway and saw me, "Oh Michael, hi. What are you doing here?"

     "We were supposed to hang out and just talk today. Remember?" I ask. I'm honestly a little hurt that she didn't remember.

     "Oh right. I'm busy today. Could we reschedule?" She asks in that sweet, angelic, sounding voice.

     "There's no need. You keep yourself the happy relationship with Jared while you were with me, because we're done." I say. She doesn't seem even the slightest bit fazed.

     I turn away and a single tear slides down my cheek. I had returned home after walking back. I went straight up into my room and didn't really come out for a little while.

     Eventually, I found another girl. Her name was Lillian. She was beautiful. Long brown locks, ice like eyes that could kill if you so much as look at her wrong, and when she smiled, oh when she smiled, her pearly white teeth would show and would almost blind you.

     She ended up cheating on me too. With a friend of mine who went by the name of Jason. Jason was an alright guy. I had met him at school as well and we were pretty good friends.

     I was strolling through a nearby park and I caught them snogging on a bench. It pretty much went downhill from there. I ended it, I was way more broken than I was with Kayla, with Lilly. I thought about marrying her a couple of times. I hadn't put my trust in anyone for a year. I ended up with some commitment issues and I just became afraid to ever be in a relationship again.

*Flashback ends*

     During that, the entire group started to listen. No one made a peep. It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

     "And then I met you and it all came running back. The issues, the sadness, and pretty much everything else. You're the greatest thing that's ever happened to me. You don't demand attention, you understand that when I'm working it's important, you know that I love you no matter what. The hate is just something everyone goes through. I get some. Luke gets some. Ashton does. So does Calum. Just ignore it. Tell you what, how about tomorrow, before the concert, all day we'll take an us day. No social media. No fans, nothing. Just us two. Does that sound okay?

     She nods and smiles. She hugs me tight and doesn't let go for a few seconds.

     "I'm always here. If you need to vent, just remember I'm only one call away. I'll be over as soon as I possibly can and we'll get through it together.' She says. I nod in response and we hug again.

     "Well, I haven't been totally honest with you guys either. I've had some pretty bad shit too. Here goes it," She says.
