Willow's POV

The sirens grow closer, but they can get here soon enough. My head is pounding even harder than before. I squeeze my eyes shut, but that doesn't help. They grow quieter. Everything. Gets. Quieter. I feel like I haven't slept in weeks.

I'm lifted onto what feels like a cloud. I hear a lady talk to me and asking me a bunch of questions. Where am I? What happened? Is Wren okay? I'm lifted into the back of an ambulance. The cloud gets softer and softer. I slowly start to drift off into what feels like a much needed sleep.

Wren's POV

I've tried so hard to protect her. That's all I've done since I've met her. I've shielded her from the harsh world. I knew I should've driven. She had to be the one to get hurt. She doesn't deserve this. Why did it have to be her? She has to be okay. Right?

I ride with her to the hospital. She lost consciousness. She won't wake back up. I've never been more scared. What if she dies? She can't. She can't leave. I need her just as much as she needs me. In fact, maybe more. This can't be the end. Not now. Not today. Not ever. This is a dream right? I'm just having a nightmare. I'll wake up and she'll be fine. She'll be happily cuddling with Michael and everything will be okay. Right? Right?!

We arrive at the hospital and I'm not allowed back with her.

"I'm sorry honey, but we have to do some tests and make sure she goes home better than ever. Okay? We'll call out her name to give you more information." The nurse says.

I nod. I go sit in the waiting room and call the boys.to tell them what happened. I hang up and they come not even 10 minutes later. Luke stops in front of me and pulls me into the tightest hug ever. With that, I break down and sob. Letting all of the emotions through. First it's anger. It all comes flowing at once. The hot tears streaming quickly. Next, sadness. They come soon after. Finally, worry. I'm mumbling things like, "What if she dies? What if I never see my best friend again?" The guys all surround me in a hug, full of love and hope. Reminding me that there always is some hope. We just have to believe that it's there.

I walk up to Michael and I feel the tears threaten to stream.
"I'm sorry Mikey. I'm so sorry." I whisper, my voice cracking.
He pulls me into a hug and tells me that there isn't a reason to be sorry. Tears stream down my face faster than ever before, onto his shirt. I pull away from the hug and lay down across the chairs and onto Luke's lap.

"Willow Marksen?" A doctor says, after what feels like years later. We all stand up and await the news.

"Well, she hit her head really hard. None of the tests show signs brain trauma. Broken left wrist. A few cuts. That's pretty much it. She slipped into a coma while we were waiting for the test results. Whether she wakes up or not, only time will tell. You guys can go see her if you'd like."

We all nod, and follow him to her room. The hallway seems to go on forever, but not be long enough. I don't want to see my best friend like that.

The hallway ends and we're met with the dreaded door. I put my hand on the knob and open it.

What I saw, crushed my heart. She had bandages all over her face. I hear Michael's breathing quicken.

"Willow. I'm sorry. This shouldn't have happened to you. Please wake up. I need you." I whisper, trying to keep my voice from cracking and breaking down. Again.

The boys all say something, except for Mikey. He hasn't said a word. I could see the light fading from his eyes. He's breaking more.

Luke, Cal, and Ash left to go get ready for the show. Michael won't leave her side. He's holding her hand waiting for a sign that she's awake. He's been whispering some too. I can't quite make it out.
