As I squeeze in the room a new song starts playing and I hear the bartender "She's so fucking hot, I hope Dennis shares this one."
I look up at the main stage and it is my worst fear, E.J. is dancing. Fuck! She meets my eyes as her body moves to the music and she winks at me. Look around the room and everyone's eyes are locked on her. Every swing of her hips, has them entranced. Everyone comes out of the back and all the private rooms to see her. She literally has the whole clubs undivided attention. She tells me that Kyle and Gabe are in the building and it's time to do this and that she loves me.
She does this spin on the pole and grabs the swords she had cloaked on her back and flips off the pole and lands on her feet.
"Now!" She yells. Then the shit hits the fan. It is mayhem. We are beheading demon after demon. "Where is Dennis?" She yells. I can't see him anywhere. She takes off towards the offices. There are dead demons everywhere. There are only a handful of humans. So I run after E.J. She kicks in the first door and it's empty. It looks like the medical room. She kicks in the second door and curses. There is a demon torturing a young boy. She quickly beheads him and tells the boy to stay put, she will be back but that he is safe now. She kicks in the third door, it's Dennis' office. He isn't there.
"Fuck! He's gone. That rat bastard!" She yells. By this time Kyle and Gabe have joined us.
"E.J., we have a team coming to help the humans. They will help the little boy too." Gabe says as he puts his hand on her shoulder.
"I missed him. He got away and I blew my chance to stop him!" She yells.
"Baby, he will have to start over, we took all he had. Maybe we can find something that will tell us where he is hiding and what he is up to in here." I tell her. I want to hold her, but I know that is the last thing she wants right now. She nods and we begin to search the office. Gabe grabs a folder off the desk and lets out a line of curses that would have made Levi blush.
"He is the one. The one from the prophecy, E.J., you wouldn't have gotten him today. It was not meant to be over yet. We have a few more obstacles before you can beat him." Gabe says gravely.
E.J. pops up has the look of sheer determination on her face "He will fall at my hand, I swear it." We all nod. "We did good tonight, boys. I am so proud of you all." She beams at us.
"The clean up crew will deal with all this, let's get out of here. I have his laptop and the file, we can go over all this in the morning, for now, how bout we get out of here?" Gabe says.
We all agree and head home. When we get there Frank, Brian, and Levi are waiting at the bar for us and our tale. We sit on the stools and Frank pours us a round. We go through the events and Frank and Levi exchange a look.
"What, What was that look for?" E.J. points at them.
"Dennis is a nasty piece of work. If he is building an army to lead the world is in some serious trouble. I think that it time to give you a new gift." Levi tells her and begins chanting and E.J. hits the floor. Her wings come out and wrap around her and there is a light radiating from her. Then her wings fold back up and she sits up.
"Woah" she laughs. That is awesome.
