I watched E.J. leaving and with each step she took, my heart broke. I knew why she was leaving. She wanted me to make sure she was who I really wanted to spend eternity with. I never had any doubt. I love her with every part of me. She thought that not having children would make me change my mind, but it won't. She is all I will ever need. Now, it is time to have a serious talk with my family and, if necessary, walk away from my title as Alpha, my pack and my family. It would be hard, but E.J. meant too much to me to lose her.

"Everyone meet me in the Alpha's office, now." I called my family through my mindlink as I headed towards the office. I sit on the couch waiting for them all to gather, when the last one files in, I begin my talk. "As you know, E.J. is my mate and she isn't a bear. She is half Angel and half Demon and immortal. I am immortal now too, even though she begged me not to, I made her change me. She cannot have children and it kills her. She knows how important it is for an Alpha to have an heir, so she has left me to make my decision. To me, the choice is clear, I love her and I want to spend my life with her and no other woman could ever take her place. She has asked me to search my heart and make the right choice for me, my family and my pack. I have my choice, it is her, it will always be her. If you cannot accept that, if you cannot accept her, I will walk away from my title, my family and my pack. It will hurt, but it is your choice." I stare at each of them as I speak, seeing the shock, shame and pain in their eyes.

"How can you do that to us? For a girl? That is totally irresponsible!" My Father yells at me. I narrow my eyes at him.

"So, if someone told you that you couldn't be with Mom and be Alpha, you would just walk away from her, for a title and power?" My Father looks like he is about to bust a blood vessel.

"I would never leave your Mother for a title, or any other reason! I lover her!" He yells at me. My Mom puts a hand on his arm.

"That's the point, Hank. He loves her and nothing is more important than that. I want grandbabies too, but you have other sons who will soon find their mates and have children. Don't be an ass, Hank." My brothers all laugh.

"Fine, I do understand that you love her and she is one hell of a girl. I am just scared, you are my son and I guess I was just shocked. I want you to be the Alpha of this pack, it is what you have been trained to do since birth." I nod, that is as close to an apology I will ever get from my Father.

"Does any one else have any objections?" I look at each of my brothers who all shake their heads, I didn't figure they would, they all love E.J., now I just have to get her back. "Good, now, I need get her back and help her with this demon mess. From what Kyle was saying, Roland is a big, mean, tough demon warrior and he is on Dennis's side." My Father nods.

"Yeah, I don't know if she can handle him alone." Liam jumps off the chair.

"Are you crazy? Didn't you see her earlier? She was awesome! She fought off those things like they were toddlers!" I can't help but laugh at him, he is so taken with my E.J.

I have been trying to call E.J.'s phone for the last two hours and I am very worried. I called Gabe, Kyle, Frank, and Brian, but no answer. I don't have a way to call Levi, I doubt Satan has a cell phone.

"Of course I do." Levi says from behind me, making me jump and he snickers.

"What the hell, Levi? I am glad I can't die or you would have just given me a heart attack." He laughs at me.

"So, what is going on? I can't get ahold of anyone." I ask him and his smile vanishes.

"E.J. found the local demon hideout. She was making plans to attack. She misses you fiercely but like the warrior she is, she pushes it down and focuses on the task at hand. I hope you have come to a decision, she needs you and you need her. She wants you to be absolutely sure of your choice." He says very seriously. I smile at him.

"There was never any choice, I have loved her from the first moment I saw her, the only thing was, would I have to walk away from everyone else to be with her, and I would in a heartbeat. I have their support now, but honestly it wouldn't have mattered, she is all that matters." I tell him honestly. He beams a smile at me.

"Then I will bring you to her."

In a flash we are in front a house about three miles from the pack house. I look at Levi and he tells me.

"What are you waiting for, she's in there." I take off in the house, following her scent to a bedroom door. I pause to take a deep breath, then I knock. She opens the door and her eyes grow wide.

"Hawk?" I nod and she steps back to let me in. I look at her and it takes everything I have not to pull her into my arms.

"I talked to my family and told them that I was going to be with you now matter how they felt. I told them they could except it or not, but I love you and that is the only thing that matters." I barely finish my sentence when she launches herself into my arms and kisses me, hungrily.

"I love you, I missed you so much and it has only been a few hours." She tells me while placing kisses all over my face.

Suddenly the door flies open and I see Gabe standing there with a strange look on his face,

"Hawkward" he says and then slowly closes the door making E.J. and I laugh.
