Time went on and Demi's belly grew bigger and so did the boys. I of course still live in my house on the beach considering Demi and I are still not together, but I'm at Demi's everyday visiting the boys and helping her out in whatever she may need. And it was a lot.
"Hey!" I looked up from the stove and looked to my side where Demi stood with a baby book of some sort. "Did the boys leave already?" She asked still fixated on her reading. Her toungue poked out from the side of her lips, as if she was so focused.
"Not yet. The bus should be here soon. They finished breakfast and there ready to go whenever the bus gets here." I smiled focusing back at the french toast. "Hungry?" I asked, grabbing a plate and placing the food I made on it. She didn't answer for at least five minutes.
"Uhm, yes please." I walked over to Demi and took the book away from her and placing the plate in front of her. "I was reading that." She giggled.
"Come on, eat before it gets cold." I smiled. "I'm going to see if the boys have their things ready to go. The bus should be here in less then five minutes." I said looking at the time on my phone. Demi nodded before picking up her fork, stabbing her French toast and stuffing it into her mouth.
"Mom! The bus is here!" I jogged over to the livingroom and grabbed Nicky's backpack.
"OK guys. Don't forget we are setting up some things in the Nursery today." I said opening the door and walking the boys to the bus.
Before the boys walked up the stairs to get on the bus, a little boy and a little girl walked over with their backpacks. The little boy smiled and High fived Alex and Nicky. The little girl then hugged Nicky then shyly walked over to Alex and hugged him.
"Mom, this is Michael and Mariah. They live next door." Alex smiled. "They're Nicky and I's best friends."
"Nice to meet you Alex and Nicky's other mom!" Michael shouted waving his hand up to me excitedly.
"Hi." Mariah smiled.
"Hello kids. I'll see you all after school. Have fun today." I helped them on the bus and waited till the bus was out of view to go inside.
When I went back inside to check if Demi was still eating, She was eating in the living room flipping through Netflix, wondering what to watch. She looked like a little kid.
"Did the boys go up on the bus OK?" I sat beside her and hummed in response. "Good. Jen and Des will be here in a bit to go help us get things for the nursery." She laid back and rested her legs on my laps, and resting her hand on my arm as I sat down beside her. "Do you mind?"
"No. Go ahead and get comfortable." I smiled. I took out my phone and began to scroll through twitter to keep my mind busy.
"I missed this." Demi snuggled closer wrapping us both in a blanket. I looked over at her and leaned closer so her head was properly rested on my shoulder. "Don't you?"
"Oh yeah. I miss this couch!" I joked, beginning to pat on her lap. She glared playfully at me before closing her eyes. "Of course I do." I mumbled so she couldn't here me.
I am still in love with Demi. That no matter won't ever change. Demi is something quite special, its hard to find anyone out there like her, and especially since I was with her for a good portion of my life. We have two kids together and a third on the way.
At 'Baby 'R' Us', we walked around looking for things we needed for a unisex room, considering we still didn't know the sex of the baby till next month.
"What do you think about the white curtains?" Jennel asked waving a long white fabric across my face trying to get my attention. Mandy giggled uncontrollably which brought me out of my train of thought, and a smile to spread widely across my face.
"Sorry." I mumbled bending down and picking up Mandy. "I was lost in thought. I think the curtains are good." My lips cruled for a small smile. "What do you think, Mandy?" The little girl nodded in a fit of giggles clapping her hands rapidly.
"Why is my baby clapping?" I heard a giggle and the imitation of a baby voice and knew it was Des. Suddenly, Demi and Des appearedd smiling at the baby in my arms.
"Is aunty Dani making you laugh?" Demi asked poking playfully at Mandy's belly. She crouched down laughing historically and pushing Demi's hand away.
"Well we're done with our half. Are you?" Des asked. I peeked over slightly at Jennel who nodded in contentment. She began pulling out baby things to show Demi and Des what we had picked out and stuff.
When getting to Demi's house, we grabbed boxes and bags from the car and waddled into the house setting them on the living room floor.
"Are the boys excited?" Jennel asked grabbing a water bottle that I sat on the counter for them if they were thirsty.
"More than excited!" Demi laughed looking over at me. She walked over to me and wrapped her arms around my Waist from behind. I looked back and smiled at her before looking at Jennel and Des who had small smirks. "You smell like syrup." I looked back to get a glimpse at Demi. She just had her eyes closed and a small sad smile rested on her lips.
"Are you OK?" She didnt open her eyes. She just shook her head and held onto me tighter. "Do you think you girls can give us a minute?" I asked looking up at Jennel who nodded and picked up Mandy from the floor.
"We'll just let you guys go. My parents should be coming soon and we have to pick up the house a bit." Des smiled lightly picking up something they bought from the stores.
"OK then. Tell your parents we say hi." She nodded and walked over to hug Demi and I. Then Jennel came over and hugged us.
"Give kissy to Aunt Demi." I peeked over to see Demi's eyes fluttered open as Mandy's lips met Demi's nose.
"Bye baby." Demi whispered before placing a long peck on her forehead.
"Aunty Dan." She leaned towards me and kissed my cheek, leaving a small amount of drool. I didnt mind though.
"Thank you baby." I chuckled and kissed her cute chubby cheeks.
When they left, I turned to Demi and looked at her as the sad smile still lingered on her lips. She played with her fingers and looked lost.
"what's wrong?" I asked softly taking her hand and tugging her towards me. I wrapped my arms around her shoulders and rested my head on top of hers.
"I missed you." She sighed. I felt her arms snake around my waist and her nose against my chest.
"I'm here." I spoke softly. "I know its been a rough year and a half, but I'm here now." I pressed my lips agaisnt her head rocking her slowly back and forth.
