I near the border of my father's territory, and I see a tall figure just on the other side leaning against a tree. I immediately recognize it as Alpha Martin.
"There she is. Woman of the hour," he chimes with a dark smirk on his face.
"I go with you and you swear not to attack Lunar Stone?" I ask bluntly.
"You're the only thing standing between me and that attack. It's totally up to you," he says, raising his hands as if he's surrendering.
"You swear?" I ask.
"I swear."
"Swear on your title?" I test. He growls at me. "If you swear on your title and you break it you loose your status as Alpha. We both know how this works."
"You agree to do as I say and I will."
"I agree. Now swear."
"I swear," he mumbles.
"State it like you mean it," I order.
"Do not talk to me like that. I am your Alpha," he growls.
"I will treat you as such once you swear on your title."
"I swear on my title. Now get over here," he demands.
I step over the border and I feel the change. I can tell my father already knows I'm out of his territory.
"We should go before my father sends trackers after us," I mumble.
"And so we shall." He wraps his arm around my waist and drags me away from my home.
