"Mom!" He whines from half way across the landing.
"Milton!" I mock.
"Dad ate the last cookie!"
"Anton Reid!" I screech.
"I didn't do it!" He yells back. Sighing, I walk out of the laundry room with the basket of clean clothes in my hand.
"Anton just admit you ate it," I say, approaching them in the kitchen as they continue to bicker. I set the basket down in the counter.
"But I didn't!" I suddenly hear little pattering footsteps running towards me and I looks down. I find a little toddler running towards me. Picking her up, I see crumbs all over little Mara's face.
"I think we found the culprit," I giggle. "Mara did you eat a cookie?" The two-year old smiles and giggles at me. I turn to Anton and give him a kiss on his cheek before I turn to Milton.
"Hold your sister for me, will you?" He extends his arms and I pass her over. Mara wraps her arms around her brother and gives him a sloppy kiss.
"Yes I love you too," he laughs. There's suddenly a knock on the door to the suite and the swings open.
"What up sis?" Felix hollers, welcoming himself into my home.
"FeFe!" I exclaim. I rush over to him and hug him.
"Oh god not that nickname again," he murmurs. I laugh and give him a squeeze.
"Oh yes that nickname again," I laugh. Felix gives Anton a quick hug, before taking his niece in his arms.
"Who is this precious little gem?" he asks. Mara pouts a little, making Felix chuckle. He kisses her nose, making me smile while she lets out a small giggle.
"Mara, why don't you go play with your toys?" Anton says. Smiling she nods and Felix puts her down before scurrying away. He turns to his nephew, and they both smile at each other.
They run towards each other, slamming themselves into each other's sides. I roll my eyes at this childishness while Anton comes over and wraps his arms around me.
"So how old's the little rascal now?"
"Uncle Felix, you know I'm fifteen," Milton says.
"So first girlfriend yet?" He wiggles his eyebrows at my son while he lets out a loud groan. Felix laughs again. "Good. Your mom taught you well. Wait for your mate. You'll be glad you did."
The two of them walk off, talking about god knows what, when I look up at Anton.
"You know your brother's a pain, right?" he chuckles.
"And you aren't?" I retort with a goofy grin. He leans in and kisses my cheek.
"Yes. But I'm your pain."
The door suddenly opens again and I hear a loud squeal.
"Brookie!" Breaking out of my mate's arms, I run to my best friend.
"I didn't know you were coming!" I exclaim.
"Honey you're forty! I'm not gong to miss the party!"
"I love you Claire-bear," I chime. We embrace in a hug and we turn back around to see our mates conversing. My brother walks up to them and introduces himself to James.
I walk over to them and lean up against Anton, who wraps his arms around me. He leans down and kisses me behind the ear.
"I love you so much," he admits.
"I love you too."
