Back to the time when Ivy ran out of the office....

Luhan's POV

"I have no parents, what do you expect." Ivy said and stood up, running towards the door. Upon seeing that, I also stood up and ran after Ivy.

She ran out of the school compound.

Despite of her high heels, her running speed was astonishing, she can really run very fast, I almost lost track of her.

I ran as fast as my legs could carry me, I don't know why, I have never ever done something like this before, especially to a girl I barely even know. It just purely the doings of my instinct. The reason why I shot up from my seat and went after her, is still unclear at the moment.

"Argh-!" I heard Ivy screamed! I saw her fell to the ground, the huge lorry stopped just about 2 feet from her. Upon seeing that, I ran over quickly and helped her up. The driver came out of the lorry.

"Miss! Do you know that running across the road like that is very dangerous? Aish teenages nowadays.." he scolded and threw a 10-dollar note on the road. He got back to his lorry and drove off.

"Ivy! Are you okay?" I kneeled down beside her and held her hand tight. There were tears from her eyes. She kept quiet and said nothing, eyes wide staring at that rocky hard road.

I quickly helped her to the pavement, she stood up slowly. There were bruises and cuts on her leg.

I helped her up the step.

She held my arms tightly and looked into my eyes, her once strong and dead glare was replaced by this soft look.

"Thank you!" she said and turned to run away.

I grabbed her arm and pulled her back,

"Your leg is injured, let me bring you to the hospital."

“No need. I can manage." she smiled weakly at me. Is she still the Ivy I met in school? The confident and elegant girl, now her hair is in a mess, her clothes filled with dirt and her make up smudged by her tears.

"No." I replied and quickly flagged down a taxi, I shoved her in before she could even respond. I quickly got in and shut the car door.

I looked back at Ivy, she was staring at her hands. Upon realising I got in, she started speaking.. still eyeing her hands...

"Now you have seen this side of me. What do you think? Pathetic? Ugly and disgusting isn't I... You will probably tell the whole world about it and laugh at me.." she said and tears started to stream down her face again.

I lifted her head up and she looked at me, I swept off a piece of hair from her face, I took out my handkerchief and wiped off the tears and the smudged make-up on her face. She looked at me with sorrow.

"You are pretty without make-up." came out of my mouth without thinking. She smiled and looked less tense, tears came out from her eyes.

"Thank you.. you are the first.." she said and smiled. I wiped off the tears on her face. I pulled her into my chest and hugged her tightly, she closed her eyes.

After about 15minutes, we have finally reached the hospital. The taxi jerked, causing Ivy to open her eyes, she sat up and looked around, rubbing her eyes.
