Chapter Eleven- It's Gonna Be Okay

He pulled away and pressed his forehead against hers. "I shouldn't have done that Rey ... I'm sorry I -"

"Don't be afraid Ben" she grabbed his hand "I feel it too"

He sighed and kissed her once more . "Ben ... Look at me and promise me something " he then looked up at her . "I want you to stop drinking ... Stop smoking ... Stop lying and stop staying out late ... I want you to tell me things ... I want you to be there for me"

"I've already thrown out the booze and the cigarettes ... Although I rarely smoke -"

"Then that means you need to stop lying and staying out late , you need to tell me thing and be there for me ... Can you promise me that?"

"I promise you Rey ... Right now ... I'm done with all that ... No more lying , no more staying out , I will tell you things and be there for you ... I promise I will" he held her hand .

"Thank you" she leaned up and kissed his forehand .

"Can you promise me something ?"

"What is it Ben ?"

"Promise me that no mater how big and famous you get ... You'll never leave me ... And I that will always have your heart"

"Only if you stick to your promises"
She smirked and hugged him . She rubbed his tired shoulders and then took his hands . "You need to sleep ... Come on" she pulled him to their bedroom .

He kicked off his shoes and laid down . "Will you lay with me ? I haven't had you in my arms in so long"

She nodded and laid down next to him . Ben wrapped his arms around her small form and pulled the blankets up.

She rubbed his arm softly, her fingertips brushing his skin. He felt at peace for once ... He felt happy ...

Rey heard a phone ring and turned to see it was Ben's ... It was his mother . She leaned over him and gathered it.

"Hello?" She asked into the phone .

"Rey ? Honey is that you?" Leia asked frantically.

"It's me Leia ... Are you okay?"

"Where's Ben ?" Leia asked .

"Sleeping ... What's wrong ?"

"Go to the hall ... Just do .. Don't be near him when I tell you" Leia told her .

Rey got out of the bed and closed the door behind her . "Okay I'm in the hall with the door closed ... Leia what's wrong?"

"Did Ben tell you ?"

"That Han has cancer ?"

"Yes " Leia sighed "he's fainted ... It's really bad ... He's in the hospital ... And .... They don't " Leia began to choke up "they don't think he's gonna make it"

"What !" Rey said then threw her hand I've ever mouth . "We'll be there as soon as we can... Tell him we love him and we'll be there soon..."

"Okay ... I'll see you two soon... Love you honey -"

"Love you too" Rey then closed the phone and walked back into their room.

"Rey ? Why are you up ?"

"Your mom called " she then sat down on the side of the bed "Ben ... Listen to me ... Your father has fainted ... And .... The doctors don't think he'll last much longer ... So I told your mother that we'll be leaving for Los Angeles as soon as possible...
It's gonna be okay" she told him .

He gathered her into his arms bad pressed his head into the crook of her neck . She felt hot years on her shoulder . "It's gonna be okay Ben" she rubbed his back.

"Rey he can't -"

"Ben ... You need to calm down ... Your father wouldn't want you to freak out okay?" She told him

"Rey what am we gonna do ?"

"You're gonna go take a shower and I'm going to get us plane tickets ... Okay ... I'll pack for you just go take a long shower... It's gonna be okay ... You won't be alone"

Ben nodded and then leaned up and kissed her . Rey took her thumbs and wiped off the tears that came from his eyes . She held his face in her hands and pulled it down to kiss his forehead . He got out of bed and walked to the shower .

She flew to the laptop and order two first class plane tickets for two hours from now .

While he was in the shower she packed their bags ... Two suitcases each , she didn't know how long they'd be . She then got some leggings and a large sweater and grabbed him some jeans and a jacket .

He came out of the shower and saw her tying her shoes "you're clothes are right there we leave in an hour and a half" she kissed his wet hair .

He threw his clothes on and they were out the door . A letter to Maz and Timmy telling them they weren't sure when they'd be back .

When they go to the airport there were camera flashing . Calling for them and asking them rude questions . At this point Ben was thankful he was wearing sunglasses or they'd see his tears .

Rey grabbed his hand and squeezed . He nodded at her and they continued to walk .

Family tradition is that the god mother and God father get to put away all the new baby stuff before the mother and baby come home !
