Chapter Fourteen- This Is Were I Leave You

"Dad?" Ben said crouching down to his father's level.

"Ben ? Is that ? It's that -"

"It's me dad" he said to the heavily drugged man. "Rey's here too" he said holding his father's hand.

"Rey? That's the name of my son's wife" Han said . Ben sighed .

"Dad... This is my wife" he told him.

"Rey?" Han said looking at the brunette with her hair in a bun.

"Hi Han" she said, Ben going to sit down on the hospital chair bear the bed and Rey then plopping herself on his lap.

"Rey?" He then ran his hands through his daughter-in-law's hair. "You were in an accident"

"Yeah but she's all better know" Ben said squeezing Rey's waist slightly.

"She's okay?" Han asked.

"She's great dad" Ben said.

"And the baby's okay?" Han asked looking at the ceiling.

"Baby?!" Ben asked turning to face his wife . "Dad what do you mean baby?"

"She ... She's pregnant... Two months" he the whispered "don't tell Benny I told Rey! I mean don't tell Rey I told Benny"

"Dad... Look at me okay?" He said .
His father turned to face him "I know I haven't been home much... And I know that you probably hate my guts ... But I love you dad... And I promise you that I will always love you dad." Ben told his father .

"Ben" he grabbed his son's hand "you take good care of your mother" Han was choking on his tears "she the best damn thing in my life ... Take care of her"

"I promise dad" Ben said , Rey still sitting on his knee.

"And promise me ... You stop the fucking smoking and drinking... Especially with a baby on the way"

"I promise dad" Ben squeezed his father's hand.

"And you take good care of her ... Rey... She's the best damn thing in your world like Leia was in mine"

"I will dad" Ben reassured his father.

"And!" He said "I'm so proud of you... And I love you too Ben... I love your mother and your wife and your uncle and all his damn hippy ways" he grabbed Rey's hand . "Please... Take care of him... He's a fucking idiot"

"I will Han" Rey said to him.

"Ben... Give her a million sons ... Gotta keep that solo name alive" he said .

The door opened and Leia walked in "Leia ?" Han said .
She walked over to him and kissed his forehead "Leia ... I love you... Love you so much... And I promise you that I will always love you... And .... I will never ever stop loving you Leia"

Leia sniffled "oh honey... I'll never stop loving you either" she leaned down and kissed him again.

"I love you all" Han said and the closed his eyes . His heart monitor began to die out...

Suddenly it was a flat line and Leia collapsed . Rey helped her up and held onto her mother in law. "It's okay" she rubbed her shoulder.

"He's the only man I ever loved" Leia sniffled . Rey nodded and then felt her husbands hands on her waist and his arms around his mother.

"He loved you a lot mom" Ben told her . "And it's gonna be okay...Rey and I won't let anything happen to you... Ever"

"You're  pregnant?" Ben asked when they were getting ready for bed.

"I was apparently.... But now" she sniffled "when I was in the crash...the baby" she sobbed.

"Babe" he wrapped his hands around her . "Oh honey" he kissed her "I'm not mad" he hugged her again "let's get you to sleep"
