"Happy Christmas, Charlie!" I yelled into his room.
He jumped up at once and made a funny noise. He grumbled his Christmas greetings and walked past me into the bathroom. I ran downstairs and called Billy's place. Billy answered and we greeted each other with love. Before I even mentioned Jacob, he told me he was already on the way to my house. As if on cue, my doorbell ringed. I said my goodbyes to Billy hastily and ran to the door, throwing it open. I ran towards him, causing him to drop the two small gifts he was holding in his arms. He devoured me with his arms and laughed.
"You know how I love this greeting, Bella. But you know how I love a certain one way more." He said looking at me with dark eyes and a bad boy smirk.
Reminding me of the naked greeting I gave him last night in his room as an early Christmas gift. He made the most out of that one.
"Shut up and tell me Happy Christmas, werewolf." I answered lovingly, while blushing fifty shades of red.
He said what I asked him to and kissed me deeply. Charlie already made it downstairs by then and grunted uncomfortably behind we were standing lip-locked. We broke apart quickly and laughed. Jacob bent down to pick up the two badly wrapped gifts and threw one to Charlie while greeting Charlie happily. Charlie managed to catch it and got all red faced because he doesn't like gift giving and especially receiving. We walked into the living room and I told Charlie to open it. He opened it and his face lit up.
"Wow kid, thanks!" He said like a child who just got what he always wanted.
He pulled it out and it was 500 meters of (I squinted to see the packaging) braided Superline for his fishing pole. Only Charlie would get excited for fishing gear. Jacob and I laughed lovingly and Jacob turned to me handing me my gift. It was in a small box. I opened the box and saw a metal ring inside. I pulled it out and brought it closer to my eyes. The ring was covered in wolfs. I counted and it was the same amount as the pack had. My eyes watered and Jacob came to put it on my finger.
"It's a promise ring, Bella. From now on when you wear this, you will always have me and the entire pack on your hand. We are your family now. We will always be here for you. Me especially. I love you, Bells." He spoke clearly.
A couple tears fell from my eyes and I bent down and kissed him softly. I told them to wait and raced upstairs to grab my gifts for them. I ran down with two big packages. I handed one to Charlie first, telling him to open it. He opened it and his face lit up again.
"Bella! Thanks!" My dad exclaimed.
I chuckled softly, my dad is not known for his choice of words. He pulled out the gift and even Jacob looked surprised. I got dad a new tackle box, which I neatly packed with new lures and fishing hooks of all sizes for all the different fishing seasons. When Charlie opened the tackle box and saw all the new lures and fishing hooks, they both looked at me with impressed faces.
"Don't think I'm that helpless. I work at a Newton's Sport Goods, for crying out loud. Im bound to learn something eventually." I said pretending to be appalled. "But don't ask me what all the things in there are called, Mike helped me out so..." I tacked on the end laughing.
They laughed with me and then I turned to Jacob and handed him his gift. He looked at it strangely, maybe because it was pretty big and heavy. Its perfect. It took me forever to get my hands on it. He opened it slowly, saw what was inside and looked at me awed.
"Bella, I can't accept this. This is too much." He said.
"Yes, you can. It took me forever to get my hands on it. I had to take two days of work and drive ten hours all the way to the border entering California. So if you don't take it, that'll probably upset me even more." I answered.
