I stared at him trying to process what he just said. He just admitted who he was and I go against everything they do in the Black Market. I looked around still in shock. Wait, if he's the CEO then that means Lucifer is somewhat involved.

"Love, you there?" Sean said, waving his hand in front of my face. I mentally shook my head. "Uhh yeah. I just wasn't expecting that," I said baffled.

"I knew you were different. You're too innocent to be in this," he stated with a straight face.

"Ha. Innocent...right," I restated unconvinced.

"You are Skylar. I know what you do. I know the type of organization you work for and everything about you," he stated. I looked at him waiting for an explanation about everything. He got off his stool and held out his hand. "Come with me," he smiled.

I hesitated for a moment but took his hand as he guided me out of the crowded room. We were walking down an isolated hall that was decorated with artwork.

"You're really interesting. You know that," he said as we walked deeper down the hall. Is this the part where I secretly get murdered? Yea, maybe.

"How so?" I asked, trying not to panic.

"Well for one, you have a kind heart. I look at a lot of people who happen to be kind-hearted but only for one thing."

"Money," I finished off and he nodded.

"Another thing about you that grasps my attention is your boldness. You're not afraid to speak your mind," he smiles.

"Thank you," I softly spoke, "You said you know everything about me. May I ask for details?"

"You are gifted and frankly, you're not the only one," he said, causing me to stop and look at him.

Before I could say a word I was cut off by a waiter. "Sir, the bids are about to start," he said while bowing.

"Crap," I mumbled. He turned to look at me with a worried face. "What's wrong?" he asked.

"Well, I was supposed to be bidding on. I only did it to shut that chick up. You know the perky one who was the highest bid last time," I explain.

"Oh, then we should get back. We can finish this conversation later," he said, grabbing my hand as we walked back.

"What if we don't see each other again?" I frowned.

"Don't worry. I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing each other soon," he spoke and I swear I saw a smirk on his face for a second. We walked back into the room only to receive stares and shook faces. "I'll walk you backstage," he whispered and I managed to nod my head.

We walked to the side of the room and he pushed open a door which I guess led to the backstage. As we walked down the hall people kept staring and would bow to him as a sign of respect.

"You're so intimidating" I mumbled, only causing him to laugh.

"I get that a lot."

We took some turns then found myself with 3 other girls who were behind a curtain. I pecked out and saw hundreds of people. Normally I wouldn't get nervous but this time I did.

"I shouldn't have signed up for this," I mumbled to myself.

"You'll be fine," Sean's voice came in. I forgot he was still here for a second. "Haven't you been in front of this many people before?" he asked.

"Yea but this is different because -"

"No. It's the same thing but just for a different cause. Don't be nervous. You'll be fine," he said with a reassuring smile.
