Lucifer's P.O.V

"SKY!" I yelled as I flew downwards to her.

Her body flipped over and I watched as she stretched out her hand towards me. I returned the action as I tried to push myself towards her. I can't lose you. I pushed myself harder to get closer to her.

I couldn't control what happened. I was sucked into Hell because of an emergence. Most of the time, I could choose when to go but not this time. I had a meeting with my right hand Demons and it wasn't something I could get out of since I always canceled on them.

Sky, I must save Sky.

She looked me in the eyes as if she was reading something then let her hands fall at her sides so she was no longer reaching out. She's giving in. She thinks there's no way of saving her. I pushed hard and called her name again. She gave me one last look before closing her eyes.

I pushed myself harder. 10 feet before hitting Earth's surface, I finally reached her and hugged her so I was underneath her before slamming to the ground. I would have teleported us out or teleported to her but that could end up killing her with the speed she was going. With each gift there's always a price.

I opened my arms to see Sky's limp body in my hands. There was now a crowd surrounding us and trying to pry Sky out of my arms.

"NO!" I growled as my voice boomed in the air. They all stood there in shock and stepped back.

"Alright move it!" Godric said, pushing them out of the way. Jasper started to talk to the crowd and I knew he was using his stupid gift as manipulation to get rid of the crowd. They started to leave and I laid Sky on the ground and kneeled in front her.

"Come on Sky get up," I mumbled while cupping her cheeks. I leaned in and placed my head on her chest listening for a heartbeat. Nothing. I moved up and tried to hear her breathing. Nothing.

"Come on baby girl. You can't leave me," I whispered as I held her head.

"We need to get in the car now. The cops are coming," Jasper informed us as he pointed.

I looked to see the cops about a mile away. Our demons have bird eye view so we could see really far away which comes in handy. "I'll drive," Godric said as he ran to the car.

I stood up and picked up Sky's body from the ground and held her bridal style. The car swigged around and I put Sky in the backseat and got in next to her. I placed her head on my lap and please my hand over her chest. The car was silent as we drove. I kept using my healing powers in Sky but nothing was happening. It's been 3 minutes and I honestly wanted to kill someone but no one was responsible for this but me.

Sky was the best thing that happened to me in my whole entire life. Over the past couple of years, which is more like thousands, I never had strong feelings for anyone. I banged many girls and was in many relationships but it was never real. Sky was different. We weren't even together and it felt like we could rule the world together. She was my angel and I was her monster. A monster that got her killed.

I looked down at her now pale body and I felt my heart ache. I've put her through hell yet she still puts up with me. "What happened?" Jasper mumbled.

I kept my eyes on Sky then sighed before looking at him. "I had to go to hell and she got burned in the process which caused her to start falling out of my arms," I huffed.

"Wait, didn't you guys hear a scream or something," my eyes blackened. I mean they must have heard her scream at one point.

"Don't try to play the blame game Lucifer. We got dragged into hell too," Godric yelled. Before I could yell at him he cut me off. "You always find someone to blame for your problems. Just fucking take the responsibility for once in your life," he yelled some more.
