Hey guys, I hope you enjoy this chapter :) Merry Christmas :)

            “Kira.

Something was flickering, spreading heat across my face, and was glowing behind my eyelids. I twitched, when I heard a crackle, and barely registered that I’d dreamed someone had whispered my name.

Rolling over, I tried to make myself comfortable in the make-shift bed the couch had turned into, and stretched briefly. I released my muscles, and reminded myself to check whatever was glowing in the morning, when it was light-

“Kira!!” I flinched, tightening myself when I heard the voice, near my back. Breathing shallowly, I sprung up from the couch, snapping up to stare at bright green flames that seared my vision and made me momentarily blind. Blinking, I paused to regain my eyesight, and made out a male form in the centre of the neon flames.

Then I remembered the circle of blood I’d drawn beside the couch last night, and threw the hand that was covering my eyes to the side, taking in the flamed appearance of a very panicked Zach.

“Kira, thank God, I thought I couldn’t wake you, you weren’t listening-“ he rambled, like how he only did when he was seriously alarmed and nervous.

I cut him off with a look, taking in the wild look in his brownish red eyes reflecting the green flames chaotically. He ran a hand through his short hair, whipping his head around at the sight of all the others still sleeping in their beds.

“Zach,” I whispered, getting his attention back to me, and heaving chest pronouncing his panic, “What happened? Where’s Bianca-?”

“She’s stuck,” he exploded at me, gripping at his hair again, “I tried finding her, but she’s been fucking paralyzed; I couldn’t do anything, and then I felt…”

He stopped talking, sucking in terrified breaths while I tried to analyse what he’d told me. She was stuck? How was that possible? Spirits were on the other plane, and only gods could access that plane…or their specific children.

Zach went on, spitting out the words as fast as he could, “I felt him stir, it was like a massive earthquake, but even my form could feel it-“

“Who?” I snapped, breathing heavily. His panic was contagious, and I could feel the sweat starting to form on my body as my heart raced in my chest.

He stared at me blankly for a moment, then remembered that I hadn’t been there while he’d felt this ‘awakening’. Then his eyes got round, and he looked like he was choking on his words.

I tried to help him out, speaking quickly, “Is it Typhon? Or,” I really hoped it wasn’t the latter, “Is it Kronos?”

Zach shook his head, and I could see the strained muscles in his neck work, as he whispered, “Uranus.”

I only realized my mouth was hanging open when I expelled out air in a loud gasp. I shut it quickly, but opened it almost immediately after to shoot question after question at Zach’s trembling spirit, “How the fuck is that- never mind, but – how – the gods-“

“Are in Greece, trying to get him back to eternal sleep,” Zach answered me breathlessly, “The bastard of Thanatos came out of hiding with the sickle Kronos used to kill him; there was still some of his blood on it, and I think that woke up Uranus-“
