I broke the showdown into two bits, cause it's quite long :P Hope you enjoy this one too! Merry Christmas :)

The heat from the Greek fire burned my face, but my ankle hurt too much to get up. I was helpless to watch as Kira braced herself for an attack from that bastard, but he got the Goddess to hurt her instead. Kira lunged forward, froze, and stood upright in a casual manner.

What the Hades is she doing? I thought, and felt my guts squeeze tightly when, while she was staring blanking at the cocky bastard son of Thanatos, a blast from Bia hit her. She had no defence; she was thrown into the air and slammed into the stone wall of the room headfirst. My pulse sped up when she landed heavily and limply, like she was unconscious. I could see her face from my spot near the hearth, and the sight of her unequal pupils and bloody nostrils pissed me off.

Shadowtravelling, Ellio- no, Zach – never saw me coming, and I got a good thrust in at him. I punctured one of his lungs and he yelled in pain, before a wall of sheer force drove me back, though I landed safely. My ankle screamed in pain but I ignored it, running only to flash in from another direction, taking advantage of the long shadows created by the flickering fire.

Zach was bleeding badly by the time I had to stop, gasping in breaths. I’d never shadowtravelled so much in my life, and it was taking its toll physically. My lungs felt like I’d run three marathons without stopping, and my pulse was making black spots appear before my eyes.

I heard running footsteps, but something made me forget all sense of direction, and then I was flying back and landing heavily on my back, hip stinging horribly and spine screaming in pain along with my ankle. I grunted, trying to get back up, but having to dodge a thrust immediately. I rolled into a shadow, melted into it, and travelled over to the other side of the room, clamping my hand over my hip. Blood welled up and over it, and I knew I had to stop the bleeding before I got dizzy.

But what had that been? I’d never gotten so fucking confused before that I didn’t know up from down. I glanced over at the minor Gods standing by the thrones, picking out the God that shifted shape. Zach must have guessed who I was looking at, since he boasted loudly, “This is a perfect example of why the Gods deserve to die. These two Gods are minor deities, though you’d probably agree with me by now that they’re pretty powerful.  The Goddess here is Bia, Goddess of force, and the one you’re looking at is Cydoemus, God of confusion. Pretty good allies for battle, huh?”

I gritted my teeth at his cocky voice, but had to silently agree with him. Between Bia’s blasts of pure force, and Cydoemus’s mind-confusion, I was screwed. Not to mention that all my friends were injured, and the rest were a mountain down, unknowing of the traitor.

I glanced back at Zach, but had to look away. It hurt too much to see the bastard’s soul in Elliot’s smiling form; way more than all my other cuts.

The bastard started talking again, and I wished I was less injured so I could make him shut up. “It actually makes me sort of happy that I get to fight you. You’re the worst of the cock-sucking, bitchy lot. It was your father and the mortals that made mine on the verge of fading, and it’s going to take a lot of worshipping to bring him anywhere near his full potential. Your father I’ll slice up first, starting with his dick, just like Uranus-“

“SHUT UP!!” I roared, furious but unable to do anything about it. The anger only made my heart pump faster, sending spurts of blood from the various cuts over my body. The ones on my wrist and hip were the worst; bleeding so badly they soaked through whatever fabric I put over them.
