I sat down at my desk as my friend Katherine sat in front of me.
"So how's it going?" I asked the blonde.
"Have you ever been in love?" She asked. And with that all my memories came rushing back like a tsunami.
"Yes once." I answered trying not to tear up over the blonde from my past.
"Then you understand what it feels like when they leave you?" She questioned. I knew that feeling all to well.
"Of course." After talking about the guy that left her for my sons teacher she left to go home.
And I was left sitting there thinking.
When she left when we were both 21 I had staid in Storybrooke and became the mayor. I adopted Henry two years later he is currently ten.

I walked to the town diner to see Ruby the owners granddaughter cleaning up the outside tables. I walked in. I sat at the counter.
"Coffee please." I said to the old woman.
"Of course madam mayor." She nodded and set to work. When it was done I walked to my house.
Henry would be home in a few minutes.

When he didn't come home for about an hour I called the Sharif.
"Calm down I'm sure he's fine." Graham tried to sooth me but it didn't work.
"He is out there and I have no way of finding him!" I yelled. I called everyone that he might be with, with no luck.
It was late at night when I heard a door shut out side and then talking. I opened my door to see him talking to a blonde in a red leather jacket.
"Henry!" I shouted and ran to him. I hugged him and pulled away. "Where have you been?" I asked searching for any sign of being hurt. He glared and pulled away.
"I found my real mom!" He shouted before running into the house. I stood up and looked at the blonde.
"You're Henry's birth mother?" I asked confused.
"Hi." Was all she said.
"How would you like to taste the best apple cider you've ever had?" I asked giving a small smile.
"Got anything stronger?" I kept in my chuckle and walked into the house.

We were sitting in my study drinking.
"My names Emma, Emma Swan." I looked at her and finally figured out why she looked familiar.
"Emma?" I said that name letting it role off my tongue. I hadn't said that name sense she left. She looked confused.
"And you are?" She asked setting her cup down.
"Regina Mills." Her eyes went big as she froze. "Of course the kid I adopt ends up being from you." I looked away not able to look at her.
"I didn't even recognize you." I rolled my eyes and stood up.
"Well neither did I." She stood up as well.
"I-" I cut her off.
"I would like you to leave. I can't handle this right now." I said tears forming.
"Regina let me talk." She begged.
"No you don't get to talk. Now go get in your car and you leave this town." I growled looking at her.
"I want to be in Henry's life." She protested.
"You gave up that right ten years ago. You ordered a closed adoption and that's what you got now leave." I snapped.
She huffed before blowing past me.
When she was gone I broke down. Graham came in and held me as I cried.

The next day I walked into the Sherif station to see Emma behind bars.
"What is she doing here?" I asked.
"Hey." She said with a small smile.
"Henry's gone missing again do you know anything?" I growled.
"No. Do you think I would be in here if I did?" Her sarcasm evident in her voice.
"Ms. Swan is in for crashing into the town sign. Apparently your dink was a little stronger than we thought." Graham said coming out of his office.
"I was not drunk there was a wolf." She snapped.
"Right wolves in Mane." I rolled my eyes.
"Henry's gone missing." I repeated to the man.
"Hey here's an idea you let me out and I find him. It's my job to find people."

That night I visited the bed and breakfast knowing she was staying there.
I knocked on her door and to much of my surprise she opened the door in her underwear.
"Really? Answering the door half naked?" I asked rolling my eyes.
"I did have pants on till I saw that you pulled up." She winked. And that's when I decided one last time wouldn't hurt anything.
I pushed her inside and kissed her. And just like that all the feelings for her came back like nobody's business.
She went to do more but I pulled away.
"Goodbye Ms. Swan." I said before leaving.
