If I pulled a you on you, you wouldn't like that shit. I put this reel out, but you never bite that shit.

It's tragic really.

The most beautiful things, can cause you the most harm.

But it was mesmerizing. Calum puffed out rings of smoke, his lips forming into a small o.

He just hoped all of his problems would blow away as he exhaled.

He was undeniably gorgeous and an by passers who were to see him would find him harrowingly beautiful.

We all get addicted to something to take away the pain. For Calum it was cigarettes, cigarettes are like food for broken souls.

He just needed an escape from reality. He legs dangled from the balcony on his back porch.

He had been waiting for Luke to come home for quite some time now, but he wasn't going to question him once he did. He was most likely busy, and so he waited.

At 12:00 Calum decided to stop waiting. He was trying not to be pessimistic about the whole situation but it was becoming hard. The food he had set on the table hours ago was now cold and soggy, the ice in the drinks now melted down.

He still didn't doubt Luke though, not yet.
He knew Luke wouldn't do anything to ruin their relationship, he promised.

It's not like he hasn't broken a promise before a voice in the back of his head reminded him.

"He wouldn't do it again, I know he wouldn't." Calum said a loud to the empty room.

You don't know that

"I do know that now leave me alone."

Then the voices stopped.

After lying in bed for an hour Calum heard the front door open, slightly terrified his whole body went tense. He heard footsteps approaching closer to the room and he became rigid. The door slightly creaked open and some slipped through the opening walking quietly to the other side of the bed.

He could hear clothes being taken off and he was sure that it was Luke. When the covers were lifted and a body shifted into the bed, he felt warm arms wrap around his waist, immediately finding comfort Calum relaxed and melted into Luke's grip.

They didn't speak. Calum was alright with that and he finally fell into a nice sleep.

-

The boys had noticed Calum had been acting strange.

"Calum are you alright?" Luke questioned.
The other to boys standing next to him worried expressions on there face as well.

"What me? Y-yeah I'm fine. Why would you ask." He couldn't tell them, they would think he's insane.

"Can we see your arm then." Ashton spoke up this time.

Calum held up his right arm.

"What do you need it for?" He asked

"This isn't a time for jokes Calum. Other arm." Michael stated in a serious tone.

"O-okay." Calum said holding up his left arm for them to examine which they quickly got to.

All they found were old scars nothing recent or fresh which made them happy, but they still didn't understand what the poc boy was paranoid about.

"Okay never mind Calum." Luke mumbled dropping his arm.

"Well I've got to go, I have some important things to do." Luke excused himself quickly evacuating the room.

Something wasn't right and Calum knew it.

Luke had been going out for long nights and not come home till the sun rose, he'd get panicked if Calum asked him just about anything and leave the room quickly.

Calum just hoped for the best.

-

"That's bullshit."

"Calum I swea-"

"No absolutely not, I'm done with you swearing and promising look where it's gotten us now Luke."

"You don't understand Calum. Just listen to me."

"I'm going to sleep in the living room tonight. We can talk about this in the morning."

"Calum please sto-" but Calum was already grabbing extra blankets and pillows from his closet and heading out the door, making sure to close it with a loud slam.

He threw everything on the couch and at down next to it, running his fingers threw his hair, something he seemed to have been doing a lot lately, purely out of stress.

"Two can play at this game Luke." Calum spoke through gritted teeth.

Angrily pulling out his phone and dialing a number he waited impatiently tapping his foot against the hardwood floor.

Finally the ringing ended and her heard the receiver pick up on the other end.

"Hey nia?"

What do you think Luke did?

Why did Calum call Nia?

You'll find out soon enough.😉
