23| Luke's Letter

On the 26th of September, Calum Hood was pronounced dead.

I came into your bedroom to find you in a pool of your own blood, crumpled on the floor.

You held a letter in your hand for me. You told me not to blame myself, but how could I not.

5 seconds of summer is no longer a band.

I'm no longer me.

It's been 3 weeks since I found you.

Everyone is gone.

Ashton and Michael left and are spending time in Australia mourning with your family. I know I should too, but I can't bare to look at anyone.

Hey violet is still touring after a short amount of grieving.

Arzaylea is long gone. She didn't even bother to show up at your funeral.

Our secret is out though, finally. The day after you passed I built up the courage to tell our story.

Of course no one will ever know everything, they know about us.

I haven't left your house. I don't dare enter your bedroom though, only knowing it would give me the vivid memory of when I found my love, dead.

I can't forgive myself for what I did, or rather, what I never did.

And I can't shake the thought of finding you out of my head.

Im so sorry Calum.

Flashback September 26th

"Has anyone seen cal today?"

"No I haven't have you Luke? We have to be at the arena in an hour, one of us should probably go get him."

"I'll do it." Luke abruptly stood up from his chair, he need an excuse to talk to Calum or at least see him.

"Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean I could just do it. I know you aren't on the best terms." Michael replied also standing up.

"No trust me, you two have caused enough trouble." Luke huffed.

"We're sorry Luke. But don't worry to much bud, you guys will have a happy ending and you will get back together trust me. It's going to be okay Luke." Ashton said sincerely walking over to the taller lad.

"Yeah I guess you're right, I mean Calum and I get into arguments all the time and say things we don't mean. It's going to be fine, actually just the other day he was out my house, I think we're gonna be good now." Luke tried his best to remind himself as the other two patted him on the back.

"Go get him bud." Michael smirked.

Chuckling Luke shook his head and walked out of the house, making a beeline for his car.

He softly hummed a tune as he tapped on his steering wheel, the closer he got to Calum's road the more anxious he got.

"It's fine Luke, you and Calum are going to fix this. In fact we're gonna stand up to management today, no more bullshit." Luke whispered under his breath as he turned the corner of Calum's street.

Letting out a breath Luke hesitantly walked up to Calum's door, his long legs taking him there quicker than he would have liked.

Bringing his fist up to the door he debated on wether he should knock or not, his knuckles met the door and he sighed.

After a couple of minutes he decided it would be bests if he let himself in, searching around he looked for the spare key Calum always hid.

Digging in the plant pot right beside the door, he felt a cool metal. He brought the key out and twisted it into the knob.
