17|Calum
Keep it on the low. You're still in love with me but your friends don't know.

"That's it for tonight Mansfield!" Luke shouted into the mic over the thousands of screams. All of them smiling and waving a quick goodbye as they exited the stage.

"Oh man Calum you rocked on the bass tonight dude." Ashton smiled one of his famous smiles that could brighten anyone day as he patted Calum on the back.

"Thanks ash, means a lot." He wasn't lying, compliments were the world to Calum and the always made him feel better.

"Well that's it for tonight boys, you can head to the hotel." A security guard said, walking into the room.

"I'll see you guys later!" Calum rushed out hurriedly packing up his stuff and heading down the hall to the exit.

He was better. He avoided all contact with Luke, but he still had Michael and Ashton who were finally here for him.

"Hey Cal, wait up!"

He stopped dead in his tracks at the sound of the familiar voice, not turning around when he heard footsteps nearing him.

"Hey" A breathless Luke appeared next to him, obviously having to jog to catch up with the long legged boy.

"Uh could we talk for a moment? Maybe outside or something where there aren't a bunch of people." The long hall was filled with workers scurrying around from room to room, packing and cleaning before the had to leave the arena for the night.

"Yeah sure."

They walked down the corridor towards the bright read exit sign, pushing the door open and going around the corner of the back.

They reached a nice sitting place outside, making sure that no one was in hearing range of their conversation.

Breaking the awkward silence Luke finally spoke up.

"It's been awhile hasn't it? How've you been holding up." He was right. It had been almost 4 weeks since Calum had kicked him out of his house.

"I've been fine."

"That's great cal, um I think you were right about spending some time apart, it's really helped me clear my head, and it's made me realize some things."

Calum furrowed his eyebrows, this wasn't how he expected the conversation to go, usually by now Luke would be apologizing and begging for Calum to take him back.

"We shouldn't be together anymore. For good this time."

He had never been so speechless on his life.

"Yeah, I guess if that's what you want."

"It's not you Calum it really isn't. I just don't feel that way anymore, I-I love someone else now."

"Yeah yeah that's fine Luke, I should probably be going now." Calum breathed out picking up his bass and walking away.

"Calum I really didn't want to hurt you."

"Then why did you, Luke. Three years, three fucking years of my life with you, and you're just going to sit here and tell me you don't love me anymore? You told me forever. But I thought forever would last a little bit longer."

"Cal-"

"No Luke, thanks for telling me, I-I'll see you tomorrow."

LUKE (3rd person)

"I did it. Are you happy now?"

"Luke it's not about us being happy, it's not healthy for you guys to be together anymore."

"Yeah Luke we're doing this for your own good." Ashton and Michael pleaded to him.

"He needs me, and I need him we can't do this without each other, do you know how heartbroken he was when I told him?"

"Luke we really are just trying to help."

Luke shook is head and walked out of the room. He couldn't believe how undeniably fucked he was. He knew he screwed up their relationship all the time, but he loved him.

He was still in love with Calum, but no one could know.

He dreaded all the things he'd done wrong and he wish he could take them back. But there's just some things you can't take back.

He walked down the streets of Mansfield to return to his hotel, tears blurring his vision, he almost walked in front of a moving car a couple of times.

He was broken.
