The gate was opened.........
the people are asking why.......
They are afraid, what if the enemies come?
How could they possibly save themselves?
And they were right, soldiers did came inside the kingdom
Varekian soldiers, Alterian, Laminian and Mahastians soldiers came inside the kingdom
but they did not seem to be there because of war and it seems that they don't have the mood to kill people........no......the atmosphere is different
Then came the twin princesses riding their loyal stallions followed by the Lord Luke and Lord John also riding their horses....
And at the end of the parade there was a black carriage, by the looks of it, it belongs to a royal......
The parade stops at the kingdom's castle...... the people gathered around it, they were curious, they
were no longer afraid
the four dismounted their horses....... a man wearing a red royal cape and a gold crown got out of the carriage......
Lady Tara climbed a table to have every ones attention and started her speech
"People of Lothian, all of us are aware of the war between this kingdom and Varekia... Now the fighting is over, our greatest Foe is now our Ally... King Verki, has decided to stopped the war and help Lothian instead!"
"Is that true?" a man dared asked... Lady Tara smiled at the man and looked at KIng Verki, it was now his turn to speak
"Yes it is true... I have realized that conquering Lothian is somewhat........ meaningless, it would be a shame to destroy such a beautiful Kingdom due to war... So instead with the help of the so called destined twins... Varekia will now become Lothians strongest ally.... so to seal this treaty, I bring you Varekia's goods... for the feast... LONG LIVE LOTHIAN!!!" and with that the people cheered... LAdy TAra rolled her eyes, while Lady Lara spatting her... yes there was indeed goods... foods... it is certainly a time of celebration....
"Control yourself Tara, now is no time to be jealous"
"Jealous? and why would I be jealous"
"Jealous because the King is a better speaker than you" Lara winked at her sister
Tara opened her mouth as if to say she was offended... her sister rolled her eyes and grab her
"Come on, we need to tend that wound"
the twins went inside the castle as the servants prepared the feast... the joy of the people cannot be hidden, finally the long suffering is over, finally the prophecy has been fulfilled... finally they were free.. but is this the end... surely it is not, the kingdom is still in wreck, this is just the beginning...and if the twins manage to free them from Varekia's wrath then there is no doubt that they can also bring Lothian back to its former glory... They just need to trust them, that's all... after all that is what the prophecy says right?... that is all right?
"I guess your getting weaker" Lara says as she observes the nurse tending Tars's wound
"I'd like to see you do better" Tara rolled her eyes
"I think I could do better....definitely" Lara smiled teasing her sister... Tara glared at her, she was about to make her comeback when the door opened
Lord Henry has entered the room
"Good evening Lord Henry, the feast is outside, what brings you here?"
"Should I have a reason before I enter a room in a castle where I live?"
"Normally, you shouldn't" Lady Tara eyed the Duke knowingly, both of them know where this is going
"Fine, I just want to say........ Thank you, for saving the kingdom.."
"And....?" Tara eyed him to continue
"And I'm sorry, for treating you......unkindly" the Duke choke his words, but that was enough for the twins, Tara smiled
"You don't have to say thank you Lord Henry, it is our.....so called destiny, after all.. but I like your choice of words..now-"
"Pardon me your highness, I may have lost my pride when I did this, but still you cannot change my decision, Lothian will not be ruled by a stranger, not, while I'm still alive..." and with that the Duke of Velnoia walked out... yes, just like that... which leaves our warrior princess in complete rage.....
"Why?! YOu?" she was about to follow the duke when her sister and the nurse stopped her
"Calm down Tara..."
"Calm down?... the heck, how dare he turn his back on me?!..no way!.. I will not calm down"
Lady Lara and the nurse is having a hard time pinning Tara to the wall just to stop her from whatever she is planning to do with the Duke... they were in this position when NIck, John and Luke came
"Uhmm, did we miss something?" Lord John asked curiously
"Apparently someone has angered the warrior princess and I tell you that's a hard thing to do" Lord Nick says this full of sarcasm... which made the Lords laugh
"Ha-ha... I'm glad you find this funny, Lord Do-Mi-Nic!... cause I'll gladly break your backbone instead of your father's" Lady Tara did calmed down, and so it was safe to let her go... but that doesn't stop her from glaring Lord Nick to death
"What did the Duke do this time?" Lord Luke asked, knowing well where this is going
"Oh nothing really, he just said he wouldn't allow either of you to rule the kingdom" Lady Lara said this casually, walking nearer to the window, just to take a look at the people merrymaking
"He said that?" Lord John said not really surprise
"He said 'strangers' but I think he really means both of you..." Lara smiled casually
"Guess, he still don't trust us... not even after all we did" Lord Luke sighed
"So what are you going to do now?" Nick finally asked getting used to his Father's behaviour
"Well it's not his decision to make" Tara answered joining her sister at the window
"We did a good job today but tomorrow will be the real work... destroying a kingdom is much easier than building one... tomorrow, we will test your kingly skills, tomorrow will be your time to shine my dear princes" Lara eyed both Prince Luke and Prince John... her eyes are saying that this is indeed a great responsibility and that this should be taken seriously...
"There will be alot ahead of us, and Nick we will need your help, you know the kingdom more than any of us here and I doubt your father is willing to help... but for now it's time to celebrate for a job well done! Cheers for Lothian!" Lady Lara smiled as she raised her cup
"Cheers!"
