The Prophecy

"What does that mean?" I asked the priestess who spoke on tongues, that is not known by my ears, mother let me see her for a surprise as she told me

"The heaven had revealed the prophecy to me again......."

"What Prophecy?"

"Regarding the new king......"           

I am Prince Luke de Farnese, son of King Antonio of Veromina, a strong Kingdom in the east... News of King Alcheon of Lothian perished, without having an heir to the throne is known to all right now... The king refuses to marry, dedicating his life to the comfort of his people, not knowing this will cause alot of trouble when he's gone, Lothian is the strongest and the richest kingdom in the north, the king's death, not only affected the economy of his country but also to the neighboring kingdom, due to Lothian's richness, many wants the throne, I on the other hand, wants the throne also not for the richness it brings but for the people in their and also to my people, other Kingdoms are attacking Lothian, trying to conquer the glorious country, and as if a miracle, tthe Lothian still stands, defending itself and now....a prophecy?

"What do you mean?"

"Years ago, my ancestors, generations by generations, pass a scroll...and in that scroll a prophecy unfolds... a prophecy that waits for the time it will be fulfilled...

The moment the sun goes dark, the sky will need another light...

the moon shall then break into two to light the whole sky

the first half will break and will join the other half....

The full moon shall then be one with the new light..."

"I..dont understand..does that mean...?"

"First I thought I didn't also, but it all make sense" Mother came to me

"Mother..." I bowed my head in greetings

"I never understand, what it means myself, ...until now......... King Alcheon is the sun of his kingdom and all the kingdom around it, He was the Sun who kept peace to everyone, and when he dies, everyone went wild.....and scared....so thats why... heaven planned it all" the priestess spoke again

"Thats a prophecy?, its just some kind of a funny riddle"

"Do you by any chance, Believe in prophecies Young Prince?"

"To be honest I don't!...I believe that we make our destiny"

"But King Alcheon does not share your faith Lord Luke, He knows this will happen, He never married to fulfill this prophecy"

"King Alcheon did not marry for his people not because of prophecies!"

"Cant he serve his people with a wife then, Lord Luke?"

"Its not the same and besides even if your prophecy is true, how can you explain the moon part, I cant think of anything that is happening here in the real world, that can connect to a moon!" she looked at me straight in the eyes, and then turned her back at me

"There is one...."

"What?!"

"Did you remember Luke?, when you were little, the story of how special your birth date was?" mother spoke to me

"You mean the moon?"

"The night that you were born, the moon was full, and it gives light to the whole kingdom and even from afar,..until a strange thing happen, the night turned dark and slowly the other half vanished and it turned into a half moon.... phenomenons like that are very rare to happen...."

"I still can't........"

"That night, twin princesses was born, The Princesses of Alterria in the far south...Princesses Lara and Tara Arst Le Faye, It was said that the time time that the youngest of the twin came which is Lady Lara is also the same time , that half of the moon vanished,  3 years later, another news spread out, Princess Lara was missing and returned after 7 years...."

"Are you saying, they are........."

"I believe so, Lady Lara and Lady Tara Arst Le Faye are the destined twins.!"
