Y/N's Point of View
After all the crazy paperwork and consent forms were signed, it was finally time for me to get ready to get out of the hospital bed! The nurses gave me a white shirt and sweatpants to change into for the time being. Max told me that we were going to go and buy me clothes after I got settled in.
The nurses had taken out all of the bells and whistles out of my arms, and it was finally time to get up. Max was watching, but the nurses would be the ones to see how I would walk. Now I'll admit I wasn't the most stable walker in the world, but I could actually walk. I was then lead to a bathroom to change from my wonderful hospital dress into the basic clothing. There was a big mirror that took up the wall on the right along with a counter right below it with sinks, cabinets, and other necessitates you might need. I was a little hesitant seeing a mirror, seeing how I don't have much of a clue as to what I look like, but I was curious. Slowly hobbling, I proceeded to walk to the mirror, first sticking my hand out. I was a little scared and intimidated by it, so I closed my eyes, walked towards the mirror so I was in front and facing it, and prepared myself for the unknown of seeing who I am.
One, two, three...
As I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was my h/l h/c hair. It looked a little messy and confused, and I was overall not too impressed. The next thing I saw was my nose. The honker right in the middle of my face. I hated it. It was too (thin/wide/long/short). Next were my boring e/c eyes. Sofia's were so beautiful, and here were my boring orbs. Next were my lips. They were way too (small/big).Don't even get me started on all of the cuts, stabs, bruises, and scrapes I had planted all over my face and body. What are those even from? I looked like a nightmare had walked out of someones dreams to surprise them in their daily lives. My legs weren't as bad, but they were still bruised up. That didn't mean I liked them though... I moved onto my body next. I mean honestly. I am way too fat. There's just a huge lump of fat sitting on top of my stomach. Looks like I need to fix that problem. Don't eat a lot. I mean honestly. I have food in my stomach to feed my fat body for years. I'll just eat whenever I'm around Max, but that's it. I wouldn't want him to be worried about an additional problem I would give him.
I could go on for centuries at a time listing all the things I found wrong from my body from forehead to unknown scars, but I'll spare the time. I changed at a brisk pace to help make up for the time lost analyzing myself. The white shirt was tighter, and the sweatpants were loose, warm, and so soft. The shirt showed off my ugly body from just below my hips up. More like showing my fat though. Then there were the sweatpants. Those were so nice. They were baggy, so you couldn't see my legs, and they were so soft and warm! The only thing was you could see my fat butt in them. I then spotted some hair ties in one of the cabinets, and put my hair into a (bun/braid). It didn't look the best, but it was better then leaving it down. I then proceeded to hobble back over towards the door, and opened it.
Outside the door waiting for me was Sofia and Max. I was a little bit shocked at first, but then smiled at the recognition of face. Both of their smiles grew larger as I smiled, which made me laugh a little bit, but feeling a little weird. I didn't really like the attention, and I don't know why their smiles grew, but it was a pleasant surprise. Sofia's eyes swirled with satisfaction, as if she were proud of me. Max's shone with happiness, yet were still glittering with a contrast of both awe and sorrow. I was slightly confused, but still happy to see them both. I suddenly got this stranger urge to wrap my arms around them both, pressing my body against theirs. I couldn't see their faces, but I could sense that Sofia was very happy, and Max was confused, yet embraced me back with Sofia. I could feel them both absolutely melting into the hug as if so much had happened. Like we survived an Apocalypse and thought that we were going to loose each other. Like this was the first time they had ever had anyone hug them before. They were both so comforting it was unbelievable. It's like I had known them for years, yet I've only known and talked to them for a little bit. This was amazing. I held onto them tighter, tears forming in my eyes. I never want this to end.
Max's Point of View
I was watching Y/N trying to walk over to the bathroom to change into some clothes. It was so adorable, but at the same time a little unnerving. I mean, there's so much I have to teach her. It's like raising a kid. Well, not THAT extreme, but it certainly isn't going to be a walk in the park. I mean she knows all the basics. How to walk kinda, manners, how to breathe, all of that. But then what about the memories that we shared that we lost. There weren't many, but there were just enough. All of the moments where I felt a different kind of happy. I've felt so much happy in my life, but this kind of happy was different. Her and I getting hot chocolate the first day we met, coming home to see her right at home with Ross and Tim, even though he's gone. Us playing around the offices, chasing each other even though we're not mad, which was a first for me. Plus her potential feelings for...
"Max!" Sofia called, a little bit annoyed. S***. I must have zoned out.
"Yeah? Sorry I was just a little distracted." I replied, sorrow staining my voice. Sofia looked at me with sympathy and came over to me. "What are you..." I tried to say before she pulled me into a hug. I hugged her back, not really giving it completely sincerely. I was upset, but I still haven't known her for too long. She let go and looked me in my eyes.
"She's not gone. She's still the same person, and the memories that you two shared are just locked away. If you look hard enough, and make her the happiest person alive, then you two will find those memories that you share. You're a great guy. She already likes you. You just need to treat her with the most respect you can. Make her laugh until she's crying. Make her so happy she's speechless. Make her feel so loved that even if she were depressed she would feel happy. She's not a child. She's one of the most amazing people I've ever seen, and she deserves the Milky Way. Because you can't give her that, you have to give her all you possibly can." She advised me. I nodded and looked to the ground, thinking about what all she had just said. It was some pretty deep stuff. "Hey." She spoke in a happier tone. "Smile. It looks better on you." I couldn't help but smile at that comment.
"Thanks!" I replied, sincerely thanking her. She really is an amazing person. Knowing what to say when needed, never really forgetting about you and how you feel. So kind and wise. She really is amazing. In a friendly way though. I couldn't see her as my girlfriend despite how great she is. She's more of a best friend.
We both walked over to the bathroom door and waited for Y/N to come out. Only a few seconds later she came out, rocking the basic clothing. She looked so adorable in the baggy sweatpants and white shirt. She looked at both of us. Her eyes were sparkling with happiness, but not complete. I was a little shocked by this, but after all, she can't really remember anything. It's with an understandable reason. Just then she gave us both a hug, holding us like it's the last time we will see her. Sofia and I embraced her, completely melting into it. We looked at each other, her looking at me as if she were to say I told you so. I gave her a glance that said thank you, and then hugged her closer.
This is a memory that I know I will never loose, and I hope this is one she won't ever loose as well.
