-Monica Thompson's POV-

It's been two weeks. Two weeks since my birthday, two weeks since my first pain. Two weeks since my mate has been taking a girl to bed almost every. Other. Night. But the worst was when it comes in the middle of the day; that he must have nothing better to do than that, that he might love her just that much.

The only semi-good thing about this is that I've learned how to dull the pain and make it almost bearable and I put it to use when it starts in the day. In the night I let it happen because of the reason that if she's so good that he couldn't wait for me then he might not want me at all.

It's nearly the end of the school day and I just sat down in my science class next to Camille. Today were doing some sort of lab because the lab tables are all set up with equipment, but me being me, I didn't listen yesterday when Mr. Christopher told us that we were having a lab today and wore flip flops. Not that I'm ever able to pay attention in my classes anymore.

"Ms. Thompson, I'm going to have to ask you to sit out from the lab today seeing as how you are wearing flip flops." He told me while peeking over the edge of his glasses to make sure I understood. When in reality he wasn't asking me to sit out of the lab for wearing flip flops, he was asking me to sit out because I could have a break down and flip flops were just our excuse.

"Yes, Mr. Christopher." I replied with a nod if my head. Mr. Christopher, or Chris, is part of the pack so he knew my situation. Everyone did. Chris was a tall, bald man with glasses. Today he was wearing a mustard yellow suit with red and green plaid on it. He wasn't an attractive man but he was a nice one going into his forties. And sadly, he doesn't have a mate.

"Okay class! Today you will be doing a lab. You need to start by filling the beaker with..." And I stopped listening because this doesn't apply to me. Instead I looked out the window and wondered. Wondered what pack my mate was part of. What rank he is. Wondered how he could not care enough to come looking for me. How he couldn't wait for me.

When I came back to reality everyone had gone to the lab tables while I sat there doing nothing. Mr. Christopher brought a stack of papers my way, "Would you mind correcting these for me? The answer key is placed on top." Then he walked away.

I was about halfway through when the pain hit me for the first time today. I fell off the side on my chair and tucked my legs underneath me pressing my forehead against the cool floor. I groaned and let out a hiss at the pain that was shaking through me.

"Ms. Thompson? Why don't you go see the school nurse." Mr. Christopher told me. The school nurse was a werewolf too so she could help deal with the werewolf injuries without any humans having to know about us.

"Chris you know that I would if I could." I whispered each breath paining me.

"I'll take her to the nurse, Mr. Christopher." I heard Andrew say.

"Andrew, your not even in this class." I could imagine Chris giving him a small nod of respect.

"It's alright I was passing by heading that direction anyway." Andrew said as he picked me up and helped me stand. The only good thing in all of this is that Andrew is always here to help me when it starts.

"Fine Mr. Bennett, take her straight to the nurses office." And with that I was being pulled out of the classroom.

"Hey, Monica, you hanging in there okay?" Andrew asked me.

"Better than before." I groan as just the tip of my toes dragged along the ground. When finally it stopped and I let out a breath of relief.

"Is it done?" He asked me.
