-Monica Thompson's POV-

I drew the curtains in so I couldn't look at him and he couldn't look at me. I blew out a sigh and leaned my head against the window, thinking about what just happened.

"You told him." A voice said from behind me, making me jump as I turned around. Andrew was standing there.

"He commanded me. I swear I wouldn't have if I had the choice." I told him moving around the side of the table, putting it between us.

"That does not change the fact that you told him." Andrew said looking at me over the edge of the cup he was holding as he took a sip, "The alpha of Yellow Star Pack just had to be your mate."

"I rejected him." I said feeling the panic rise in my throat.

"He could tell everyone." His spit flew from his mouth as he spoke.

"I-I'll talk to him. I'll ask him not to tell anyone." I told him moving further around the side of the table as he took long strides towards me.

"There's no telling that he will actually listen to you seeing as how he's an alpha and you're what, barely above an omega? After all, you rejected him didn't you?" He said setting his glass on the table then looking at me.

And he lunged.

"No!" I screamed and ran in the direction of the stairs taking them two at a time trying to reach the top. I heard him stomping up the stairs after me. I also heard a muffled pounding along with a muffled yell.

The glass door downstairs.

Dean was at the door trying to help me and Andrew had locked the door when he was on that side of the table.

I ran down the hallway at the top of the stairs and grabbed the frame of my doorway swinging myself into my room, closing and locking the door behind me. I could hear Andrew coming down the hallway quickly, so I threw myslef on my bed grabbing my phone out of my pocket and swiping my headphones off my nightstand. I plugged them into my phone and turned the volume all the way up on my music to block out Andrews pounding and yelling on the otherside of my door. So I couldn't hear him command me to open the door.

I drifted into a restless sleep shortly after that.

-.-.-.-.-

I woke to the sound of a key being turned in the lock of my door as my earbuds had been pulled from my ears in my slumber. I stared at the door as I waited for the person to come in my room. The door began to crack open and I scooted further back on my bed, just hoping that it wasn't Andrew that had managed to find the master key, when their scent filled the room and I knew I was safe, whether I wanted to talk to them or not.

Alpha Kent walked through the door into my room, closing it behind him.

I let out a sigh of relief and relaxed on my bed, "I'm so glad it's you, I thought you were going to be someone else."

"Who else would it be?" He asked me coming to sit on my window seat.

"Oh, nobody. Just me being paranoid." I said and laughed trying to back pedal over what I'd said and changed the subject, "My mate is from one of the allying packs."

"I know," He said blowing out some air, "I've known for awhile now, that's what I came here to talk to you about."

"What do you mean you've known?" I asked him trying to keep my tone in check as he is my alpha.

"Last winter he came to find you, he got all the way to the alley. I don't know how he managed to find you but he did and he almost got to you and knowing what he'd done to you I forced him to leave this land. But he showed up today looking for you and I tried to keep you from him by sending you on mindless tasks: turning on the already on air conditioning, checking the tables, setting out platters, etcetera, but he still managed to get to you." Alpha Kent told me.
