Marionette sat at her desk, fiddling with a red silk piece of fabric.

"What are you doing, marionette?" The tiny red spotted fairy asked.

Huffing, marionette stabbed a sharp pin in to the sleek, slippery, shinny fabric.
"It's Aliya's birthday next month. I wanted to make her something special," she spoke briefly as she inspected the material.

"What are you making her?"

"A ladybug mesquite mask, she is having this big birthday party, and well she kinda loves ladybug. So I thought I'd make her something Chloe doesn't have!" Marionette said, spinning in her chair franticly to grab her sketch book.
Skimming through the pages, her eyes lit when she landed on a very detailed sketch of a mask. Brushing her hands across the rough canvas page, she held it up for Tikki to see.

"Wow marionette! You've out done yourself this time! It's going to be beautiful, Aliya will love it." Tikki beamed at the young girl.

Skimming her fingers across the redness once again, she sat back in her chair and smiled to herself.
"Thanks, Tikki." Marionette softly spoke, stifling a yawn.
She sifted the smooth coolness of the fabric In her hands, weaving it in and out of her fingers as she slowly drifted into a day dream.
thoughts about her and Chatnoir  saving the day slipped into her mind as she thought about how much Aliya and the rest truly 'loved' the heroine. Even Chloe. Which she found humorous; what would Chloe do if she found out that ladybug, the super hero she had been obsessed over, was In fact marionette, the girl she had through the years picked on.
It was ironic and very comical, Chloe hated marionette, for a reason that she had never known, but adored her as ladybug.

"Thanks Tikki, for everything." Marionette said slightly dazed, slowly coming back to reality.

"Why are you saying thank you?" Flying up close, Tikki gave her a questioning glance.

"For coming into my life. I used to be a shy girl, who wouldn't stand up for herself, and was pushed around by the likes of Chloe. You gave me the confidence I needed to be brave, and stand up for what's right. Thanks for picking me Tikki, you changed my life for the better."

"I didn't pick you, the master chose you." Tikki quickly replied, sounding blunt compared to marionettes heart felt rambled speech.  Starring back in shock, marionette stayed silent. The fairy took this as granted to explain herself.
"And he chose you for a reason. He chose you because you have a wonderful soul, marionette! Your kind, caring and brave. You have a lot of strength. I only turn you into ladybug, you brought out your confidence and bravery all by yourself."

Moved by the sweet fairies words, marionette pulled Tikki in for a hug.
"Thanks, Tikki it means a lot."
"Don't mention it."
Their hug was cut short when a loud bash screeched from the window.

"What was that?" Screeched Tikki hiding behind marionette's shoulder.

"I don't know, but it didn't sound like the neighbour hood cats." Marionette huffed as she pulled herself up from her desk chair. Curios, she walked towards her balcony, Tikki following behind holding tight onto the grey stiff fabric of marionette's jacket.

The balcony was pitch black, with only the hundreds of tiny dotted stars to light her way. Walking further into the outside, marionette tripped up on one of her favourite  potted plants, knocking it over with a thud.

"Ouch!" she screeched, as her foot bubbled with pain.

"You're so clumsy, marionette!" Tikki giggled.
A roaring clash grated over the fairy's laughing, as foot steps echoed off the cobbled street. Thrusting herself over the banister, marionette only got a glimpse of a shadow running into a narrow alley.
"What ever it was, I scared it off." Marionette assertively spoke, sweeping back her fringe.
"It made a mess, along with its ruckus." Tikki noted.
Marionette peaked over the balcony once again, this time focusing on a few trash cans lit by the illuminating yellow street lamps. All four trash cans were scattered across the floor, with all their contents spilled out. A few of the trash cans had rather large dents caved into the silvery metal.

"You know who's gonna have to clean that up tomorrow, right?" Marionette sarcastically asked.
"No, who?" Tikki naively questioned.
"It was a rhetorical question, It's me."  Marionette sighed.
Spinning on her heel, she headed back to her bedroom, the sweet smell of oranges welcoming her in.
folding up her fabric sample, she tidied what she could of the messy, disorganised desk.

"What do you think that thing was?" Tikki questioned, observing marionette picking up each individual pin one by one, and the often 'ow' mouthed silently, as she accidentally pricked herself with the sharp edges of the frail pins, sometimes with drawing a little blood.
Yawning, marionette flicked her desk light off, sucking on her thumb from were a pin  had gone in deep and left a pain that felt like a paper cut.
"I have not the slightest clue, Tikki. But, it can wait till tomorrow." marionette replied, yawning once again and stripping off her clothes into her pyjamas.

"If it's that serious, we can check it out tomorrow,.." Marionette lastly spoke before her eyes drifted and she became slowly unconscious, exhausted from her daily activities.
