*2 and a half months later*
Barry was working alone. He didn't want any of us to get hurt again because of him. Well, I don't blame him, I would do the same. But the difference here is that he's become distant. He is usually at the CCPD, STAR Labs or his house. It's really sad.
For me, I've been doing better. I still have a little insomniac, but nothing I can't live with. The hallucinations are gone, the voices too, and everything is pretty much the same.
Tomorrow was going to be The Flash day, but, as you know, it didn't go as expected. This guy from Earth 2 was going to come and try to kill Barry because of Zoom's orders. That bastard...
Anyways, as you might know, the city is pretty much destroyed because of the singularity, and Barry has spent these six months trying to repair it. He wants to work alone and he won't let us help. He's going to, eventually...
Well, right now, I was on the CCPD helping Joe and Cisco with the Anti-Meta-Human Task Force, and I was just entering when the Captain asked for Cisco and me.
"Speaking of which, where're your scientific advisor and your second in command?"
"I'm here, Sir," I said going to stand next to Joe. The Captain just nodded. If you're asking, I'm his second in command. This is because when I was a child I learned martial arts and how to use a gun. I didn't use that abilities because it had been a long time since I really used them, so I was afraid that I would have hurt someone. But now, with a bit of practice, I can use them perfectly.
And then Cisco came with this bunch of scientific stuff.
"Ho, ho, ho! Fear the beard!" The Captain just glared at him and Cisco nervously touched his chin. "It's a very distinguished look, Sir."
"What is all this, Mr. Ramon?" The Captain asked. I really didn't know if he was frustrated or annoyed or curious. Really, it's difficult.
"Oh, this right here? This is a little something I'm working on. I'm cooking it up for Joe, Amy and the task force to take down meta-humans. I think I'm going to call it the Boot." Cisco looked at some papers and then handed them to the Captain. "Oh, here are the receipts,"
"And you, Ms. Ross?"
"Well, I'm working in the "Boot" with Cisco and I'm practicing new moves to use in battle," I said. He smiled a little. I think the Captain liked me, but I guess that's only me.
He was heading to his office when Cisco said something.
"Oh, um Captain, one more thing,"
"You're not getting a badge, Mr. Ramon."
Joe and I just exchanged looks and chuckled.
"He's really stingy with those badges, isn't he?" He asked, disappointed.
"Yeah, cops are funny that way,"
"I have one..." I teased and he just gave me a shut-up look.
"Geez, I was just trying to have fun."
I went to stand next to Cisco.
"So you really think you can get this to work? Don't have us caught on the streets with our pants down."
"Let's hope that doesn't happen. It would be terrible." I said. Imagine me running through the streets with my pants down. Gross.
"Yes, once we finish the Boot, CCPD will totally have what it needs to take down a meta-human,"
"Except for one," I muttered, but Cisco seemed to hear.
"What?" He said.
"Oh, that thanks for the credit." I said quickly. I don't want them to know about Zoom just yet...
"Especially now that Barry has decided to go all Lone Wolf McQuade and fight crime by himself."
"I know, right? Have you spoken to him?" Joe asked. Wow, this wasn't just affecting me.
"Not really. Haven't even heard of Caitlin since she started to work at Mercury Labs. Have you, Amy?"
"Well, Barry seems to be avoiding me, and I have been texting Cait. But spoken to them, not really."
And then, Iris came.
"Hey Cisco, hey Amy."
"My cue to leave." I said.
I said, but Cisco got my arm.
"Don't go. Wait."
Since the day the black hole came and I entered to depression, I've missed my family a lot. And there's no way in which I can see them or hear from them. So now, when there's a family moment I basically try to avoid them. And Cisco knows it, so...
"Hey Dad,"
"Hey, baby,"
"Cisco..."
"Hey, I was wondering if you'd talked to Barry about the rally."
"We were just saying,"
"I'm sorry, but, I can't believe they're gonna give The Flash the key to the city. Although technically, as members of Team Flash, we should all be getting keys,"
"Well, you know Barry. The more we try to convince him to do something, the less he's gonna want to do it,"
"Except this time," I said. "You'll see,"
"Yeah, but he should go. Someone should try and get through him."
"Maybe his best friends."
"Joe, believe me, I've tried," Cisco said. Poor Cisco.
"He meant her," I said pointing to Iris.
"And you," Joe said painting to me.
"Me? Guys, we just broke up. He is ignoring me. Better Iris! She's better."
"Come one, Amy! He loves you both. I have seen how he looks at you and vice versa."
"But that was months ago..."
"Bye, guys."
"Come, Amy. Please." Iris pleaded. She was begging for me to come.
"No, Iris. I've seen how this is gonna play. I'm going to contribute later. This is your time."
"Okay..." And she went.
I was going to go, but Cisco stopped me.
"Amy." I groaned and turned to him with a what? look.
"You love Barry and he loves you. You should go."
"No, Cisco. He doesn't love me. Not anymore. He loves Iris. He marries her. And me? I just cause people suffer," I said as I crossed my arms.
"What are you talking about?" Cisco said. He was concerned and confused.
"Nothing... Bye, Cisco."
