The Calm Before The Storm ↯ Barry Allen/ The Flash [On Hold]

Chapter 7

After my little trauma, I got up and followed Barry, who probably was in a deep conversation with Harry.

And when I got there, they indeed were in a conversation with him. Well, mostly a staring contest, but it's pretty much the same, right?

"Hey, guys..." I said, going to stand next to Barry.

After a minute or so, he turned to me and grabbed roughly my shoulders.

"What the hell is he doing here!" He said while shaking my shoulders.

"He comes to help!"

"That's not true!"

"Yes it is! Now let me go!" I said while pushing him away.

"Hello, Amy." Harry said.

"Hey, Harry..."

"And you know each other!"

"Stop, Barry. He's not our enemy. He's the last of our worries! What about Zoom?!"

"B-but what about what he did!" I just ignored him. I was not going to discuss right now.

"We gotta get you to STAR Labs."

Once we got there, Barry gave him his biography book and he was actually interested in reading it. Cisco and Cait were very confused and Jay was nowhere to be seen, so we would have the opportunity to avoid arguments between the two of them. I just stood next to the computers, watching awkwardly the argument that was about to happen.

"Very strange to be holding your autobiography, especially when you didn't write it and it's not about you." Harry said, throwing the book aside.

"Dr. Caitlin Snow, Cisco Ramon, meet Dr. Harrison Wells from Earth 2." Barry said, introducing him.

"So, let me get this straight." Cisco started, taking a few steps forward. "You're the doppelganger of the man who murdered his mom," He said pointing at Barry. "caused Amy a trauma and is responsible for both Ronnie and Eddie's death?" Cisco finished, and Cait continued. Harry stared at me with a confused look and I just shrugged.

"Yeah, but he's not even the doppelganger of the Dr. Wells that we knew because that Dr. Wells' body had been taken over by the Reverse Flash, who was really Eobard Thawne and Eddie's distant relative from the future."

"Yeah, I didn't follow any of that." Harry said quickly, and moved to see Barry. "I'm my own man. I had nothing to do with the murder of your mother," He turned to me. "your trauma," And finally to Cait. "or your friend Ricky."

"His name was Ronnie."

"Him either."

"You told me you have proof of your identity?" Barry asked and he moved to where his things were.

"This almost hit me when I went through the portal. Your stabilized breach downstairs connects directly to the STAR Labs on my Earth."

"Technically, this could be mine, but I want to run some tests on you." Cait said, taking the purse thingy.

"I'll be genetically indistinguishable from my Earth 1 counterpart. Your tests will reveal nothing."

"Great! Still gonna run 'em."

"Be my guest."

Then Cisco moved to tell something to Barry, which he answered with "He saved our life last night," or something.

"The question is why. I'm guessing you didn't travel between dimensions just to meet the Flash."

"Actually, I did that, but not on purpose, y'know?" I said, and Cisco and Barry just stared at me confused. "He already knows, don't worry."

"That's exactly what I did. I came here to help you, Barry, to stop your greatest enemy."

"He already did that." Cisco said.

"I'm not talking about Reverse Flash. I'm talking about Zoom. I see you've already heard of him."

"Yeah, Zoom has been sending metahumans from your world through the breaches to fight me. But we've actually never seen him; we just have Amy's shoes as a reference." Barry said and Harry looked at me confused.

"Well, I may, may not have bought a pair of The Flash and Zoom's shoes when I was on my Earth..."

"Well, they're symptoms. Zoom's the plague, one that's infected my world, and now he's coming for yours."

"What do you know about Zoom?" Barry asked.

"Everything. I created Zoom. I'm responsible for all the Earth 2 metahumans, a fact that I've ignored for far too long, but now I'm doing something about it."

"Yeah, well, we're batting a thousand against these breachers." Cisco said.

"You're batting a thousand, Crisco? What's your sample size? Ten? Less?" He had a point and that seemed to shut Cisco up. "Zoom is obsessed with speed. He will never allow there to be another speedster in the multiverse, and he's gonna keep sending metas here, one after the next, all with the same goal: to kill The Flash unless we stop him together." He finished.

"Last time we listened to a guy with your face, some bad things went down." Cisco said.

"We lost people we cared about." Cait said, trying to help Cisco's point.

"Everyone loses someone they care about, Snow. The real test of character is what you do once they're gone."

Then, Joe came in and pulled his gun out, and, even before anyone noticed his presence, he fired. Barry managed to catch all the bullets in time, and then went to Joe's side, while I went with Harry.

"Joe! Put the gun down!" Barry said. He was trying to keep Joe clam, but it didn't seem to work.

"How is he still alive?" Joe asked, pointing at Harry.

"I don't know, because you missed?" Harry said, and I just glared.

"Stop."

"Hey, I'm trying to keep him from shooting you. You're not helping." Barry said, turning to Harry and then back at Joe. "Let's take a walk, all right? It's all good." He said, turning forcefully Joe to the other side and then leaving with him.

"We know someone who can verify everything that this guy just said. Be careful." Cait whispered to Cisco and went to me.

"I don't suppose you have a Big Belly Burger in this universe, do you?" Harry asked, and I just heard Cisco mutter a "This isn't happening." before leaving.

When Cait came up with me, she asked me to contact Jay.

"This... is not going to be a great idea, believe me." I warned her, but she didn't care.

"I know you know about that guy, but we just wanna make sure. Plus, you can't tell because of the timeline, remember?" She said.

I just sighed. "Fine, but if there's a problem, don't expect me to solve it, okay?"

"Absolutely." Cait smiled, and then left.

"Hey, Harry." He turned to me. "Do you want to go for some burgers?"

"Why not?"
