I forgot that Patty was going to come, and that was a little bit of a problem. I mean, not for me, but for Barry.
So I ran. Ran like hell. And made it there in time. Well, almost.
"Hey, Joe. What's up?" I said.
"Well, just wanted to know what's up with that Jay guy."
"Well... It's complicated, but I can handle it. Don't worry."
He stopped walking to look me dead in the eye.
"How can I not worry? I don't trust him," And you shouldn't. "And besides, you've been hurt enough."
"Awww! You do care about me! Look, he's going to gain your trust, so please, son't worry."
"Amy-"
"Detective West, sir." And Patty came in! Yay!
We both looked to her direction.
"Yes, Officer...?"
"Spivot. Patty Spivot."
"My cue to leave. Bye, Joe!" I said going.
I had to go get some things done in Starling City and Central City, about my identity and such, so I had to go to get my identity and not to look like I was a freaking ghost. I was going to take me approximately 1 week or so, I was going to let the team handle the sand meta, and I was going to be back when Wells—er Harry came, so it was going to be pretty good for me.
---------------------------------------
So yeah, I spent a week and a few hours doing the paperwork and whatever, so I was going to be just when Harry came. Perfect.
And just when I came to STAR Labs they were going to see the speed cannon. And I came behind Cisco. He didn't notice me, so I could scare him.
"Ta-da! The speed cannon." Caitlin, great job.
"Hey guys! I'm back!" I screamed and Cisco jumped, but then turned around and almost tackled me in a hug.
"Amy!" Jay and Barry said. Oooooh, I sense jealousy from both.
"Hey. Hello Cisco." I said and he broke the hug.
"Why didn't you tell us where were you going?" Cisco. Wow, everybody was so caring.
"Well, I had some problems with my identity and all that stuff, so I was going when Jay came, but I was needed here, therefore I stayed. Sorry for not telling you, guys. I thought that you were gonna be fine, but I guess I thought wrong."
Jay came to give me a hug, but it didn't seem like a hug. It seemed like he was trapping me. I mean, he was much taller and well-built than me, so...
"I missed you."
"I missed you, too."
We broke the hug and moved to the speed cannon. I was by Jay's side.
"Well, no need to worry more. I'm here. By the way, nice speed cannon."
"Mr. Garrick, I'm quite impressed by what you've accomplished suring my recent wellness hiatus," Professor Stein said.
"Have you tested it out yet?" Cisco asked.
"Not yet."
"You wanna do the honors?" Jay asked. Cisco was quite excited, but as I had a notebook that I no longer wanted or needed, I threw it first.
Cisco was disappointed, and so Stein. They both glared at me and I just chuckled. Jay chuckled too.
"How did you stabilize it?" Barry asked.
"CFL Quark Matter." Jay answered.
"Ah, negative energy density with positive surface pressure. It's genius!" Cisco said.
"You created CFL Quark Matter?" Barry asked again.
"It's something we perfected on my Earth. I'll show you sometime." Jay said.
"You mean sometime in the next few minutes?" Stein said. I needed to show that I care, so I put a concerned face and looked up to him.
"Oh, yeah I guess this is it, huh? Time for me to go back home." He said.
"Right now?" I asked trying to look concerned. "I mean, we still need your help with the Breachers." I said looking at him directly in the eyes.
"My first priority is Zoom. I need to find what he's up to. How he stole my speed."
"But you can do that here. I mean, we could help you. The team. There's no need, you can do it here. With us."
"It would be nice to be able to pick your brain every once in a while, get some more speedster tips." I couldn't deny that there was some jealousy in Barry's tone.
"Okay," He said looking at me with caring eyes. "Once we take care of Zoom, I'm going home."
"Fair enough," I said.
"Good, 'cause I could use a shower, a shave, and some sunlight." He said and we cuckled.
"I'll, uh, see you later."
"You know, I have to finish some things with paperwork. So, see ya, guys!" I said waving while I left.
While I was going to the exit, Jay caught up with me.
"Hey, Jay. What's up?" I said.
"I got a few questions."
"Okay, shoot them."'
"Why were you concerned about some identity paperwork?" Oh, shoot. I forgot.
"Well, like my parents are not with me, they had my papers. And now they were supposedly missing, so technically, without my papers, I do not exist. They explained me that they have been missing for about 7 or 8 months, and that they didn't find me, so that's what took them so long," I said. To be honest, it's the best lie I have ever said. Great job, Amy! "Why do you ask?"
"Well, I was just concerned about you. I mean, you went "missing" for a whole week. I was afraid that Zoom had you," Sure, obviously. Zoom is afraid that Zoom had me kidnapped.
"Oh my God! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to scare you, guys." I said.
"I know, but the next time, tell us, please." He said and then gave me a hug.
I said my goodbye's and went to Well's ex-secret room. I was going to see Harry and explain him all, so he doesn't do anything without thinking.
And now my plan was staring.
