Chapter Nine

All I saw was darkness. I wanted to open my eyes, but I couldn't. It was like someone was holding my eyelids shut real tight. I couldn't move either. I didn't know where I was. All I knew is that my body was cold. I felt a bunch a wind for some reason. It was like I was moving at a fast pace, but I wasn't going anywhere. I could hear faint yelling, but couldn't understand what the person yelling was saying. I tried to move my fingers but I couldn't. I wanted to cry, but I couldn't. When I couldn't do anything else anymore I gave up. I didn't try to move or open my eyes. Where was I? Why couldn't I move? Why couldn't I open my eyes? Where's MiMi? Where's my mom? Where am i?

I felt something on my mouth and something pushing on my chest. I could faintly hear, but still not enough. Again I struggled to open my eyes. This time it worked and I let out a cough.

I looked around frantically and my body started to shake.

"She's in shock! We need to calm her down!" Someone shouted and I looked to where the voice was coming from.

"Sweety, I need you to calm down. You're okay. You're safe. Just calm down." The man said and I did. My body stopped shaking and my heart stopped beating so fast.

My throat was dry and I couldn't talk. I pointed to my throat and he held the cup while I drank out of the straw.

"Kelsey, do you know how old you are?" I nodded.

"I'm about to turn 18. My birthday is in June." I said.

"Okay, that's a good sign. I'm going to get your mother, you just hang tight okay?" I nodded and he walked out. I looked around the room more and all I saw was dingy white walls. The bed I was in was comfy, but I was a little cold.

My mom walked in and she was crying. When she looked at me, she cried harder and ran to my bed. She pulled me into a hug.

"Mom what happened? Why am I here and where's MiMi?" When I asked about MiMi, her body stiffened.

She let go of me and looked in my eyes. "You were in a car accident backing out of Bryce's driveway. The... person hit the car so hard the car flipped. Kelsey they hit you on the side MiMi was on." When I heard that, it all came back to me.

"M-Mom, please tell me she's okay." My mom wiped my tears away, but didn't say anything. "Mom is she okay!?" I raised my voice a little. "I don't know Kelsey. She's still in the operating room." I closed my eyes and sighed. I can't lose my baby girl.

"Who hit me? You hesitated when you said person." She sighed and wiped away her own tears as she pulled a chair up to my bed and sat down.

"It was Yasmine."

I swear on my daughter when I see her I'm going to beat her so bad. I swear if anything and I mean anything happens to my daughter, I'm going to kill her, bring her back to life, then kill her again.

"I know that she saw me backing out. She was going to Bryce house. I needed to get out of the driveway so either way she should have stopped. Old dirty roach." I said with so much anger. I swear if I even see somebody that look like her I'm gonna go off.

"Calm down with that. I know you're upset, maybe even furious, but stop with that." Wow mom.

"I'm sorry but angry, mad, upset, and furious are all understatements. I don't even think there's a word that can describe how I feel. I bet she's fine. Don't even got a scratch. But my daughter, my baby girl, is fighting for her life. It's not fair." I said wiping the hot tears that rolled down my cheek.

"Everyone's here." She said grabbing my hand. "Who is everyone." I don't really feel like seeing anyone else but MiMi right now.

"Bryce, his mom, Toni, your dad, STAR, Michael-"
