Her, too

Chapter Twenty Five

April 11, 2015

Beyoncé looked into the mirror at herself. She was wearing a simple dark blue knee length dress. She wore no make up, because she knew that there was no use in it. Her hair was pulled into a ponytail, and her accessories were the bare minimum.

"Mommy, wook!" Natalia called out as she entered the room wearing the dress that Bey had laid out for her. It was final. Natalia was recognized as her daughter by law. The rest of the adoption process wasn't an easy one with her. Bey had to cheer herself up and get into two different moods - birthday and Christmas. Seeing as they both tied in as one with Natalia, she didn't have a choice.

Luckily for her, Kim was the best friend ever. She had prayed numerous times and thanked God for bringing her into her life. The last thing that she would ever want to happen is for Kim to be removed from her life. She'd never seen a more supportive girl in her life.

"I see, baby. You look pretty," Bey told her as she squatted down with her knees close to one another.

"You wook pwetty, too, Mommy."

"Thank you," Bey said before kissing her on the cheek. "Did you go potty?"

Natalia's eyes widened as she held her index finger up. Bey's eyebrow rose as she watched her daughter run out the room. Bey giggled at her silliness. She placed her feet into the pumps and grabbed her purse that contained her cellphone. She made sure to get her keys, as well. She didn't leave until Natalia was finished.

Today they were going to the West's house. It was Kim's baby shower. She was about six months now, and she was having a little girl. No one knew what they were planning on naming the baby, and Bey found happiness in trying to figure it out. Kim would only smile, laugh, and tell Bey to shut up talking.

There wasn't a need to ring the doorbell. She simply opened the door to see pink galore.

"Pweettyyy!" Natalia said in amazement as she looked over. Spotting a pink balloon, she went over and began tugging on it.

"Stop. Come on," Bey said before latching on to her hand. The party was actually outside, which Bey didn't mind. She went outside and was immediately spotted by Kim.

"Ohhh, baby," Kim whined as she pulled Bey into a hug. "I told you not to come," she added.

"And I told you I was coming."

Kim pouted. "He's here."

"I saw his truck," Bey said softly.

"You can leave if you want. I don't mind. We can always go have lunch."

"I'll be fine," Bey told her. She was trying to convince herself that she would, indeed, be fine. Seeing the moon bounce, Natalia pointed to it while tugging on Bey's dress.

"Go," Bey told her before Kim dragged her off toward her. The adults were around and talking, but they had a clear view of the children. Kim's sister, Khloe, was actually in charge of the children.

"Can someone fix Bey a plate, please," Kim called out as she sat Bey down in the chair next to her.

"I can get my own plate, Kim."

"I'm aware. But you won't."

She could feel eyes on her, and it made her uneasy. She hated when she could feel someone watching her. It made her feel out of place. Her eyes traveled around until she looked behind her to see Shawn looking at her. There wasn't any emotion on his face, but there was plenty on hers. It was sadness. Quickly, she turned around to see Kanye bringing her a plate of food.
