to be honest the story is going to end soon, which was also another reason why i wasn't updating quickly LOLL bc if i did then this would have been completed months ago. but yeah, i think this story will end around in the chapter 50s or 60s. i have it all planned and i thinkkkkk you guys will like it.

Despite the headache that tried to pull you down, you found yourself chasing after Mikasa, fully realizing that she had left her usual position in such a frantic matter. Only something that had terribly happened could've triggered her actions, so as a result, you were right behind her, completely dismissing Jean and Armin's protests as you went along.

"Mikasa!" You screamed, yet there was no reply. The only way was to catch up to her, but how could you? She was going at insanely inhuman speeds at the moment, the adrenaline circuiting within her must've been her energy.

Another attempt at shouting her name did no good either, you were left to resort to speeding up ahead, in which you did so. It was taking awhile, inching closer to her only meant that she'd somehow go even faster. 

"Mikasa! It's me, (Y/N)!" At last, she had slowed down.

Mikasa glanced over her shoulder as you were able to zip through the trees alongside her, "(Y/N), why are you here?" 

"I should be asking you that."

It was difficult speaking and going quickly in the air at the same time, hopefully motion sickness wouldn't be a problem here. Unless your headache seemed lonely. 

She didn't talk after that, rather she sped up once more, leaving you to use up more of your energy to catch up with her speeds as well. You needed an explanation but you knew that with Mikasa's expression on her face, she wasn't going to give you one. All you had to do was follow her, which you hoped that wouldn't mind.

Up ahead, you began hearing a series of stomps and monstrous screams, and Mikasa swung faster than ever if it were possible. She was once again ahead of you, all you could do was watch from behind as she stopped in her path, puffing out a gasp loud enough so that you could hear it. It was only afterwards that you had heard it as well.

"Eren?"

And right before your eyes, you saw Eren's body standing drenched in blood on top of his titan body. In mere seconds, as he stared blankly into the void beyond him, the female titan had devoured Eren in her mouth and ran off.

For the first time, you were ahead of Mikasa, because at the second the female titan ran off with Eren you immediately chased after her fleeing being. Mikasa was struck in a phase of shock, her eyes wide and her mouth agape. You could have sworn her body was shaking, but perhaps that was just your mind getting confused as you kept glancing back and forth from Mikasa to the running titan in front of you.

There was a moment where you called for her name and she instantly responded, but not you, rather to the female titan. "Give Eren back!"

"(Y/N) let's go!"

"Yeah!"

Even with your headache slowing you down slightly, you decided to give it no attention. Possibly it could go away without you always pestering it.

You were shocked when you found yourself and Mikasa matching the same speed, swinging around the female titan's body, preparing for an attack. It was very fortunate that this titan was slowed down, her stamina must've been weakened, this was very beneficial for you two as Mikasa made the first slash on her body. Afterwards, you swung around and sliced her arm, the one in which was used to shield the back of her neck.

It became a series of slices after that, just both you and Mikasa attacking the titan while she kept running away. But the exhaustion would hit soon if she didn't fall down already, thankfully Mikasa had cut skillfully at her calf, causing her to hit the ground in a sudden matter. Although no matter how much it had created unbalance for the female titan, she was still stable enough to keep her hand protecting her neck.

"God! That stupid hand is so...stupid!" You scream, agitated. "I swear I'm going to--" 

"(Y/N)! Don't bother. My blade won't slice through her hand." Mikasa calls out to you from a tree. Eventually you followed her there, crouching against the trunk with your 3DMG holding the two of you against it. 

Mikasa was furious, you could tell. She drew a new pair of blades, uncaring for the ones that recently broke with her attempt to cut through the female titan's protective hand. "No matter where she goes, I'll kill her."

"(Y/N)...let's kill her now and save Eren." 

She pounced off and so did you, the two ready for what was to come.

It was only until you felt a strong grip on around your waist, and you heard Mikasa's confusion as well. Both of your bodies dangled in this sudden grip, floating in the air with someone holding on to you. This confusion was only until you both processed what had just happened, and only until the figure that had taken a hold of you spoke. 

"Fall back for now." That voice. A voice that you had never heard in what felt like the longest time.

"Levi?"
