The movie ended. Names of voice actors flashed then the unknown ever so patient animators. I lifted my head from Shane's bony shoulder. Wen got up not taking his eyes of Bella. Like a dog begging for food he trailed her obediently. I wanted to wave at him and then make out with Shane... but not Shane.
Someone better, someone like wen.
Josh and Cassy came trotting up to greet us, dozens of bags in hand. Well at least Cassy trotted josh staggered like a zombie. His new black combat boots throwing him off balance.
" I can't walk in these!" Josh said winning.
" you think that's bad you should try heels." I smirked. Only the girls laughed, the guys just shrugged.
Josh looked so uncomfortable in his new clothes. He kept adjusting everything do to the tightness of it all. He tugged at his ears every so often, regretting the ear piercing that he never wanted. Cassy smiled broadly holding girly pink bags, filled to the brim with perfume and bra's. To top it all off she held a frothy Starbucks coffee in her right hand. She was so nice, and yet so basic.
" saaaay makeover!" Cassy said filming josh for her Snapchat story. Josh sneered at her, then flashed the camera a thumbs up.
Just then Bella came cruising threw hands holding firm to a extra Carmel pumped latte. She stopped abruptly making her pink heels click to the granite.
Her sloppy bun bounced forward then then slumped back to the side.
Wen trailed behind her arms filled with rue 69 oversized bags, in a happy little daze gating along.
My hands sparked.
Cassy looked terrified. She scrambled around for a second.
" uggos get away from me." Cassy lightly pushed Shane away and practically sprinted over to Bella.
" hey Bella!!!! Its meeeeeeee Cassy that girl who like you sit with like everyday at lunch." Cassy gushed. Bella turned our direction. Smacking neon pink gum around between her pearly teeth. It reminded me of the pink flashing in her eyes. What could that mean? It was probably just a reflection off the scree.
Wen still stared at her slouching, head bobbing his blonde hair bobbing along.
" oh yeah cara. I remember. You are like totally good at sharing gossip. Yay. Yay. Your totally cool." Bella said flicking a bent wrist towards her. Cassy blushed unfazed by the getting her name wrong.
" ew you will not believe what's going on today. So Emma jean was seen doing Jacob malik but this of coarse is all just rumor. Then catty noir, Jacobs long time girl..." Cassy babbled.
Bella interrupted her. Looking disapprovingly over at her pink bags.
" well that's just great. I really don't have time at the moment I have a hot date to prepare for with nick so." Bella began clicking her heels again. Cassy followed her.
" what about wen? Aren't you two like involved? What happened to Trevor?" Cassy said preening her blonde Bob cut.
" as the school gossip of all people you should know." Bella said eyebrow raised. " Trevor is old news I dumped him out of boredom. Nick asked me out the next day. And as for..." Bella giggled gesturing towards wen. " just a boy toy." Her eyes flashed pink once again.
Wen absent mindlessly nodded.
Fae took my arm and squeezed.
" when were out of ear shot." She looked around and whispered. " we need to talk." Her blonde pig tails shook.
" oh and honey. Pink is so 7th grade." Bella said blowing a neon bubble. Then off she went clicking her heels once more. She stopped again and slowly turned towards me. she smiled. Head nodded towards wen then licked her lips. I stared back at her, My eyes glowed gold. I thought quick,
I smiled back and lifted a foot and leaned up against Shane. Shane froze confused.
Bella pointed at her shoes and made a pouty face. I looked down at my bare feet. She must think I'm two poor for shoes.
I raised an eyebrow back. Then grabbed Shane by the collar and forced him into a powerful kiss. My lip gloss was smearing across his face. I felt his hand, reach for mine. Perfect. In the background I could hear, Bella's heels clicking away. Once the clicking faded into the distance I opened my eyes to a lip gloss covered boy. And three thoroughly confused friends.
" now were even" I said to Shane who stood staring at me with big blue eyes, as I whipped my mouth. His eyes darted around, Tears streaked down Josh's face.
Cassy was still standing pretty far away making sure Bella didn't see here talking with us.
" so that meant nothing to you?" Shane asked.
" well I mean that first kiss meant nothing to you. sorry, I just let my competitive instincts kick in." My hands began to spark once more. Shane gripped my hands comfortingly. Then shook himself out of it dropping my hands. Cassy husseled over. I was happy she was coming over to change the subject.
" why do you still suck up to her?" I asked cassy.
Cassy blushed. Then stamped her foot in fake petty anger.
" I do not suck up to her!" Cassy screeched. Fae tilted her head farther.
" why are you faking. We are your friends not them." Fae said her wide unblinking eyes staring into her.

" just stop trying to be a bitch okay?" Giggled Shane.
