Before the group knew it, the sun was setting. Another day was leaving. Cassy and Josh had fled. Now only Shane, and fae were with me.
" we really do need to speak." Fae said. Widening her silvery eyes.
" okay, we can talk at my house because their won't be any ease droppers or parents." I said turning into the woods.
" you coming?" I looked at Shane. He shook his head of floppy dark hair.
" no I gotta go home. See ya." He waved and pulled his bike out from behind a tree. Then began to peddle home. I walked with fae for quite sometimes then suddenly she grips hand and yanks me into a run.
" what are you doing?" My question went unanswered but I still kept running. Trusting her judgment, Once at my house fae jumped up onto the porch and darted in. I slowly followed, I closed the door and locked it behind me to be safe. A look of bewilderment displayed on my face.
Fae sat on my couch criss cross apple soss. Practically shaking in fear.
" you must close all windows!" She said pulling a blanket around herself. I didn't even know if the windows closed. I never remembered them being closed, It took some major pulling and sneezing from all the dust, but the house was finally sound proof.
" all right you wanted to talk so bad. What is it?" I spoke softly trying not spook her, She just shivered.
" this was a bad idea. Now there following us, soon oh very soon." Fae was so delacite and soft.
" well you have to answer my questions now! Or I'll open a window! " I said threateningly shaking a finger at her.
" you wouldn't." Her high pitched voice sqeaked.
" try me." I got up and walked several paces to the dusty window.
" NO you fool you'll kill us both." Fae was going to cry. She kept bitting her black lipstick covered bottom lip. Her eyes darting from one place to the next, I started to become scared too.
" okay then answer me this. Who do you think was following us?" I whispered, for her sake of coarse.
" the agent's!" She whispered like it was obvious.
" agents from where?"
" this is not what I am trying to talk to you about!" She whisper yelled tugging her satin skirt angrily.
" okay what is then." I said running out of patience.
" SSSSSSSHHHH!"
I rolled my eyes.  Rain began pattering against the window. Dust and mudd started  to trickle down the sheets of glass.
" what I wanted to telly you was thatyouknowhowbella'seyesdidthatthing.." Fae hurriedly chattered.
" slow down I can't understand you!" I said becoming angrier.
" you saw miss Bella's eyes turn pink right?"
I nodded.
" that is because, she's like you... Well not exactly her gift comes from a different source but still she's powerful!" Fae took sharp breaths.
I batted my eyelashes and massaged the chair letting the information sink I'm.  " she's what the super natural followers call a trancender. They hail from a common ancestor hence the name. They can completely control others actions with a bat of an eyelash. That's what's happened to wen, and we might end up just like him if we don't get away from here."  She peeked around the couch nervously.
" oh fae I know this is dangerous but you guys have me, and there's no way in hell your making me leave this town." The thought of leaving sent shivers up my spine. " these trancender people where did they get there powers from..." I whispered.
Fae took in a deep breath as if it was obvious.
" oh you really don't know much about the others like you do you?" I said nothing, there was nothing to be said it was the truth, infact I thought I was the only person on earth with other worldly abilities.
" well the story goes, that there was once a young man who's name was long forgotten. That was loved by every woman he came across and envyed by every man. As you might have guessed this caused a great deal of problems for him. Girls flocking to him and abandoning there husbands and boyfriends. Riots even broke out in some towns as all the woman left and the men were alone, not knowing how to cook, clean, and sustain for themselves. In those times the gender roles were very specific thank heavens the times have changed. The man was often confronted, and occasionally beaten and bruised, though his face always remained unscarred. He was a very free spirit by nature and never stayed in one town for long, soon he had accidentally created a group of dedicated followers, who stoked him through his travel's. Thinking up plots to grab his attention but no matter what they did he never showed them any affection.
