I didn't care about what she thought. She was always jealous of me.
Mom: come down stairs dinner is ready.
I went down stairs leaving her in my old room.
We all went outside and mom brought out all the food. It smelled great all my favourites.
Mom: where is Tamara?
Me: up stairs thinking about her life and not mine.
Mom: what did you say to her.
Me: nothing that wasn't true.
As mom asked about her she came, she had on that smile that meant trouble.
We ate for a while then my brothers started calling me young nerd again.
Dad: where is the boy that your mom told me would be here.
Me: clearing throat what boy dad?
Tamara: there's no boy nobody wants to be with her.... I told you.
Me : oh just shut up.
Mom: one at a time guys... So where is he by the way?.
Toniann: what's his name?
Tony: where is he from?
TafroyJr: what does he do for a living?
Timoya: how old is he?
Timothy: has he ever been married, does he have any kids?
Theresa: Man is he rich?
They kept on asking all sorts of questions one after the other... I couldn't answer I felt so small I just had to keep stuffing my face with food. I hope somebody really comes and rescue me.
As I sat there they just debated on how he looked and what he did, they wanted to see a guy that didn't even existed. I cant go on like this I had to tell them the truth.
Me: guys I...I
Tamara: I knew it she doesn't have a man.
Just then the door bell rang.
"I'll just be back" dad say. He just got up and left everybody waited to see who it was.
I was glad that something stopped the conversation.
Dad: Nice to finally meet you.
I wounded who it was, then suddenly I saw Spence. What was he doing here.
Spence: sorry I'm late sweet heart, I was caught up in traffic.
I couldn't believe it sweet heart Spence came and saved me again.
He walked over to me and gave me a kiss on the cheek,"just play along" he whispered in my ear.
Mom: who are you?
Spence: sorry how rude of me I'm Kevin Spence Nikita's boyfriend.
Tamara: boy... Boyfriend so why didn't we know about you.
Spence: I've really been busy its a fault of mine but now I'm here.
Tamara: what do you do for a living?
Spence: I'm a business man.
TafroyJr: you guys don't know him... He is on the cover of every magazine. He's like the richest man alive. Wow so nice to meet you in person.
Spence: well not the richest Bill Gates is the richest man. Everybody laughed, they all got along so well. He gave a lot of jokes causing water to run from our eyes. Tamara never seemed so happy it seemed as if she saw still looking trouble.
Tamara: so Kevin how long have you guys been together?
Spence: about a year now right hon?

Tamara: so is this a serious relationship or is she playing you like everybody else.
Mom: Tamara stop it.
Tamara: oh come on mom we for all I know he might just be a friend.
Spence: I love her and she loves me that's all I know, I love everything about her. Yea she maybe a little bossy but she is my boss lady.
I don't know how to do this but her goes. I didn't know what he was doing and that scared me. He went on bending knees and took out a diamond ring.
Spence: Nickita Henry I know I don't deserve you but would you do me the honour of being my wife?
What was this, what should I do or say.
Timoya: say yes
Tony: say yes
Mom: wow my baby is gonna be a bride, you'll look so beautiful going down that hall way.
Toniann: mom she didn't even answer.
Dad: I like this boy he doesn't waste anytime I say, say yes.
What could I say.
Me:yes of course I would love to be your bride.
Yea they all shouted and hugged each other if only they knew this was just pretence.
