"Octavia, Cassius, what the hell are you doing?"Clarke ran towards the girls making a stop as she stood a few feet behind them The two were standing on a rock and had begun to undress. They both had mischievous glints in their eyes and excited grins on their faces. Giving one final glance at the group, Cassius jumped into the river followed shortly by Octavia. "We can't swim", Monty shouted. Cassius rolled her eyes as Octavia resurfaced. "No", the younger girl answered," But we can stand." Cassius walked further into the water when she noticed ripples moving closer to them.

"Octavia", Jasper called out.

"Octavia, get the hell out of the water!" Cassius turned around and pushed Octavia to the shore and towards Jasper's awaiting arms. As Jasper was helping her up, Octavia slipped and scraped her leg on a sharp rock. "Shit", She grunted. "Tay, hurry the-" Cassius began to say, but was cut off as something bit into her side and dragged her deeper into the water. She immediately began to beat on the beast's head, willing it to let her go. Eventually she was set free, but was attacked again right away as the large animal got a hold of her arm. Cassius was running out of breath and was slowly losing consciousness. A few seconds later the animal finally let go of her and she was pulled out of the water.

"It's okay", Finn told her as he dragged her to shore. "It's gonna be okay. I've got you."

"What the hell was that?" Cassius took deep breathes as she gave a panicked look to the group. "Shit! Octavia, are you okay?" She tried to get up and look for her friend, but was instantly pushed down by Finn as pain shot through her lower stomach. "I'm fine", Octavia answered, "but you're obviously not. Shit, Cassi, that's a lot of blood."

Cassius sat up and leaned against Finn. "I'll be fine. I'll just let Princess over here patch me up then I'll head back to camp." She watched as Clarke ripped two pieces of cloth from both Jasper and Monty's shirt, then tie it around her wounds. "By yourself?" Finn shook his head in disagreement. "No way in hell." Cassius pushed herself up, holding onto Jasper's shoulders for leverage. "I'll only slow you down, Finn", she said with gritted teeth. She didn't understand what the big deal was. She'd be fine as long as she steered clear of any other man-eating animals. "Just let me go. I'll be fine."

Finn sighed before helping her steady herself. "Fine, just - just be careful. Okay?" Cassius rolled her eyes. "Don't worry about little ol' me , Spacewalker. Worst case scenario is I fall and bump my pretty little head." This got a few chuckles from the group. " Like I said, I'll be fine." Finn couldn't help but worry about her. He wondered why Clarke, of all people, wasn't trying to change her mind. Finn gave her a disappointed look. "What," Clarke snapped. "She's not my problem." Cassius let out a bark of laughter before turning her back to the group. "Geez, Princess. I had no idea you cared so much about me. I'm honored." She sent Clarke a large grin over her shoulder. "I'm beginning to think you have a little crush on me." Clarke scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Let's go, guys. We've got to try to get to Mount Weather before dark."

Cassius laughed again. She enjoyed teasing Clarke. It was almost too easy. "See you losers later", she said halfheartedly with a salute. She winced from the pain in her side and arm, and began the trek back to camp.

______

Cassius whistled a tune as she walked, trying to fill the silence of the forest. She had been walking for about two hours, and the pain from being attacked in the river was only increasing. She only hoped she could make it mack to camp soon. "Leave to Cassius to find herself all alone in a possibly radiation soaked forest, and slowly bleeding to death", she spoke to herself. "Gosh, I am so dumb. I can't survive without other people. Hell, I thrive off of  constant attention! I live for the applause! What was I thinking?" She heard a twig snap behind her and paused for a moment, pushing herself to believe that sound came from a small magical woodland creature like the ones from the movies she watched as a child. "I should've listened to Finn."

If there was anything Cassi hated more than the quiet, it was being alone. She was used to being the center of attention- it's how she got the nickname of being "The Ark's Butterfly". Everyone described her as being graceful, beautiful, and most importantly- free.  Right now, she felt like a prisoner of her own mind. It bothered her. SnapThis time the sound was louder, and sounded much larger than the cute little bunny Cassius was imaging in her head. "Oh, you know what? Fuck it!"  The moment she said that she heard rustling in the trees, sounding far to great to be caused by the breeze she was feeling. "Time to run", she whispered to herself.
