"Bored" I kept saying. Sitting in my room everyday is just so boring. The only way I was able to move is if someone was there with me. I missed The Voice, I'm in pain and all I want to do is be back to my normal self, living my normal life doing a job I love. Being with the one I love.

The band had often came to see me, making me laugh as much as I did before I was in this condition. The doctor did say I was able to go back to work in a couple of days as my recovery was quite remarkable, Aurora would be happy to hear that I hope.

I decided to call her, I wanted a bit of company.  Playing games on my consoles all day was getting boring, repetitive and, quite frankly, lonesome. I picked up my phone and pressed number one on my dialing pad for speed dial, seeing her name come up on my screen with a little photo of us together made me smile and remember how much she means to me. How much I don't want to let her go.

"Hey babe, what's up?"

"Hey Auro, you free? I really could do with some company." I replied, attempting to be soppy and cute.

"Umm, yeah at the moment I'm out with my mum, my dad and my friend, I can't come over just yet but what about this afternoon, around 4?"

"Yeah, that's awesome. And because I love you to bits, you can pick what we watch on TV, Netflix, Amazon.. you know whatever you want to watch we will oh and hey, I will order us both a pizza. We will have a chilled night. How's that sound?" I emphasized the I will to be cute, Aurora replied by awwwing before continuing.

"OMG I love you, do not whatever you do order spicy hot, you know I don't like it Ricky and remember what happened? Want a repeat of that?" She laughed as she said it. I replied with a no and a see you then. My day suddenly got better once I had spoken to her, she is literally my rock and when I am upset, always there to make me both feel better and laugh the sadness away. I needed more of that in my life before I met her and my life has gotten much better from that day. I love her, I love her so much it hurts.

The main reason we were out shopping was for the welcome back party. I had already organised the guest list, the location, the time of starting, the catering and the DJ; all that remained was the decorations, the banners and also the entrance of the main man himself, my one true love. We wandered into the local party shop for the decorations. The store was huge, filled with costumes and banners, party hats to hen party essentials and birthday party decorations and badges. Behind the counter, a young girl stood. She had jet black hair tied back into bunches, fake eyelashes, bursting chewing gum loudly whilst shaping her nails with a blunt nail file.

"Um, excuse me" I asked, nervously. No response was given, not even a turn of the head.

"Um, hello? can you hear us?" my mother asked, quite sharply. She again give no response.

"Am I going to get served today or what?!" I said again, making my voice go stern so I can at least get my point across. A simple sigh passed her lips before "can I help you?"

"We are looking to host a welcome back party and I was wondering you have any decorations with welcome back on?"

"Uh yeah we do actually. Go to the back of the store, there is a wall with the decorations on. If you need anything, let me know. I will be here" she said, with a slight attitude.

Me, my mother and my friend followed her instructions. On the wall, hanging up were some decorations stating welcome back (at least she was right about that). We picked up a banner, some plain party hats, cardboard plates and plastic knives and forks for the guests to use and took them all to the counter. The woman started to scan the items and, again with the attitude, told us the cost.

"That will be £21.50 for everything. Would you like a bag with them and a badge?" She said, bluntly and the "I don't want to be here attitude". I paid for the items and left. As we left, we noticed a slightly older woman approach the sales adviser on the till.

"Well, looks like someone is in trouble" I muttered to everyone as we all left and went to our venue of the party. The voice studios.
