You glanced over your shoulder and caught Bennett's attention. Don't fight! Toriel was humming a lively tune as you mouthed to him behind her back. She has been pulling at your sore wrists for a while now. Along the way you learned that instead of unlocking doors she used strange 'puzzles'.
Why not? He replied. She will kill us!
Just wait... Please... You begged. It seemed as if she thought you were her children. The way she talked suggested she's known you for a while, but she sent off bad vibes of insanity.
Flowey sneezed from within your shaking purse. "Did you catch a cold, Chara?" Toriel glanced back at your fearful face. The name Chara only made your stomach drop more as you dreaded to think what happened to them.
"Um, I-I'm fine... Just... Allergies?" You carefully covered your purse remembering the poor flower didn't want to be seen.
Eventually you found yourself facing a big cozy looking home. Cozy looking not feeling. A fine dust was in the air and gathered in big piles randomly. A short tree seemed to be struggling to survive and you figured that was the source of all the leaves. The words HELP was weakly carved near the bottom.
Shivers crawled up your spine making your hair stand on end. "I-is this your h-house?" You stuttered.
Toriel released her grip and turned to face you. "This is our home my little human baby!" She cooed as her head twitched.
You gulped. Neither you or Bennett dared to run. "T-Toriel?" He began to ask. His jaw clenched up from the now freezing air.
"Asriel! You do not call your mother by her own name!" She screamed at him while fire blazed around her fists.
"Sorry... Mom?" He squeaked.
"Good," She calmed down and cupped her hand over his cheek. "Now what do you need?"
Warm tears rolled down to your neck and you wiped them away. You feared for Bennett's and your own life. Slowly, he pushed her away. "We- We're both really tired... mom... Can we s-sleep?" Bennett finally asked.
"Of course my child!" A wide grin spread across her face. "After so many years, of course you'd be tired! I'll go make your beds." She walked into the house and left the door open.
Flowey peeped his face out from within your purse. "Is she gone?"
"For now," you answered trying to keep your voice steady. Bennett sat down at the base of the tree now weeping. "Flowey... Do you know who the people are? The ones she keeps calling us?"
He looked up at you and slightly shook his head. "N-no..."
You sighed and walked over to Bennett. "We have to go inside." His face was a bright shade of red.
"Are you crazy!" He glared at you. "It's your fault we're in this mess anyway! We should've ran... We should've hid..."
The closest person you have right now is cuddled up to a tree sobbing, and you know you can't convince him to go. Although you're scared to go by yourself you leaned down, wiped away a tear on his chin and walked inside the house.
"Hello?" You glanced at your left and right trying to decided where to go.
"Ah Chara! Baby where is your brother?" Toriel walked out of the first room to your right, making you jump.
"H-he's outside still... I don't think he wants to come..." Chara, that is who the crazy monster thinks you are.
She growled and narrowed her eyes at you. "He does want to come... He loves me!" You backed up against the wall as she stormed her way out the door.
