"Ever felt as if the person next to you could ever stab you in the back one day? Become your savior? A straight blessing from God. You've felt it before, but never thought it out and believed it. Especially if that person was a complete stranger to you and to others..." -Yamesia

"She's getting too out of hand, Paris. You and Malcolm should have beat the shit out of her. Would have told her ass to get in that shower, grabs some switches off the tree, and to' her ass the hell up! I would have, 'cause you know how I roll. The twins were here the other day, running around here acting as if they didn't know their granddaddy beat ass around here."

Paris and Malcolm chuckle at Eric, Malcolm's father.  Octavia was currently at her grandparents house, and of course being that she was being obnoxiously disrespectful and disobedient, they had decided to punish her the only way they saw fit and knew how.

"We thank you pops. Because I really wanted to snatch her little grown ass hair out ha' head and burn it. When she comes back, it's gon' be some changes around this bitch." Malcolm responds to his father, his tone bearing and breaking into a trance of anger.

He could not believe that in such short notice, and in such a short time, things have become too much for them to handle and over bearing all in just two months of time.

It was not the right way to end the year, and Malcolm did not want to end it with his daughter hating him and her mother.  But, he needed to take caution and enforce his own rules before she were to strike and end up getting hurt along the process.

"You should have!" He hears his mother, Meredith, yell in the background.  "Get back in that room, Octavia, before I beat you black and blue then slap it off and beat it right back on you!"

Paris and Malcolm exchange glances then chuckle before looking back at the phone. Meredith hates for people to be disrespected, especially by those who raised them to be better people.

"I don't know what I would have done... she lungin' at you like you're a random off the street. She just don't know how good she got it. Her own car, regardless if the three of them have to share it. Got a half a million dollar mansion as a place she calls home. The freshest weave in her head, sewed in by her own beautician, aka her mother. And she gets any damn thing she wants, but wanna be hype and try to act tough wit' her own parents..." Eric scoffs and a chuckle follows.

Paris chews on her bottom lip and shakes her head, laying it down to rest on her husband's lap.  She was tired and restless from the night before.  Malcolm had stayed awake with his wife all night long while she cried her eyes out over her disobedient daughter.

Paris was in such shock at her own daughter's behavior, but she felt it coming and so did Malcolm.  Never in a million and one years would they have ever thought she'd blow up and try to attack the very person who gave birth to her.

Octavia didn't give a solid care for her parents like she had for other miscellaneous items that they were there to offer her.  She felt they were just that-- a one hundred dollar bill sitting in her wallet.

Before Octavia left the house the night before, Paris and Malcolm extracted every last visible morse of communication from their daughter's possession.

Her cell phone, room TV, extra set of car keys, and expensive necklaces and earrings, and her credit card were now back in their hands.  They felt a disobeying child does not deserve a single ounce of expensive items in which they had paid for with their hard earned money.

"She's grounded until further notice..." Paris tells her father-in-law.

He takes a long dragging cough, the patting of his chest could be heard through the phone.  "That's fine by us. She wasn't 'bout to receive shit from me anyway."
