"Like the first piece of a puzzle, you're one step away to finding the other piece that matches. But what if the other pieces are shattered beyond repair? What are you to do next?" -Yamesia
Malcolm threw back his head as the hot shot of Bacardi ran swiftly and hotly down his throat. Even though Malcolm wasn't a drinker, tonight was an exception. He finally got the construction approval for the renovation of Paris's clothing store, and his gym.
Right now, he was turning things up for the night with his brothers and Triston. These were the times he missed out on. Just him and the guys hanging out and having fun, but nothing was even better without their pal August in the mix to ride along.
Over the last two weeks, all he's done was work, go home, and tend to his husband and father duties. But lately things between him and Paris haven't been all of what he wants them to be. But nothing works out in anyone's favor if both parties are not in agreement.
The guilt of not deleting his dating site's account was eating away at him crazily. He couldn't believe he had ever thought of trying to build another relationship with another woman, a woman who wasn't his wife.
He loves Paris and always will. His biggest fear is losing the best woman in his life-- the one who changed everything around for him.
His kids-- main priority and joy in his life and always will be from the first day they were born. He never thought of having four mini Malcolm's, but even better because they're mixed with the love and twenty-three chromosomes of the love of his life.
Just as nineteen years ago when he couldn't explain why he never got rid of Brielle, him and his infidelity in the present time is still not ravishing the thought of his brain as to why he's up to his old tricks again. This time, he just hopes Paris can hear him out before hurting him in the worse way possible.
But as he has sat and thought about things, from his old ex-girlfriend Tassie Munez, to Brielle Jackson, and his broken promises to the one who almost got away, he couldn't believe how blessed he was that God has blessed him with the most beautiful woman in his life.
His mother and father, Meredith and Eric, taught him about self preservation when it came to self love and pity upon oneself.
He didn't know what to do, how to react, where to turn, but being that he didn't know how Paris would take certain things he'd tell her and inform her on. She was an over emotional woman, but had a barrier blockade built around her heart to help protect from any danger seen and unseen.
But there were many things she could take, and Malcolm knew there were a number of things she wouldn't be able to take. Number one-- her husband being rudely unfaithful in their marriage once again. This time around, Malcolm was for sure that she would take matters into her own hands and be quick to sign the divorce papers as quickly as they'll be handed to her.
He didn't want that, he didn't need it. His wife divorcing him and taking their kids away from their home would be the end of him-- literally.
He has more problems than just that of gaining age, or the dating website, everyday as he looks at the mess he's made between him and his family, it tears him in half and eats away at his heart miserably. It's become so remorseful that he thinks of what would their lives be like if he was no longer around.
What would do they without him? Surely they would miss him dearly, he's their father and he's Paris's husband of eighteen years. But what would she do? Would she move on so quickly after?
And if so, how would his kids feel about their mother seeing a new man? Would they even like him way more than Malcolm?
All of these questions flood the barrier of his mind on a daily basis, so badly that he's even had to step outside of the gym to collect his thoughts and the clear the raft of his upsetting mind and horrendous thoughts.
