it hurts to watch him here

Min Yoongi and Jung Hoseok are parallel, in their own different worlds.
In front of his tired girlfriend, who is stringing a tie around his neck, Yoongi buttons up his shirt and kisses her on the forehead. She smiles tiredly.

Han Soyul loves Min Yoongi.

Have fun, she requests, unbeknownst to the demon which Yoongi would need to face, Call me when you arrive at the hotel.
Min Yoongi walks outside to his car without saying goodbye to her. He revs its engine and speeds off.
Soyul begins to cry.
All she wants to be is Min Yoongi's wife.
But, she knows that Yoongi wants a husband.

Yoongi knows this too.

When he comes home, I will shatter Min Yoongi's heart. He is unhappy with me. Min Yoongi is not who he is supposed to be.

Meanwhile, Jung Hoseok is in Washington High School's gymnasium. He prepares for the reunion with anxious and shaky hands.
Hoseok regrets coming. He does not need to be here.

Hoseok's heart pounds in his chest.
He runs into the men's bathroom.

Hoseok is in the handicapped stall. He kneels down. Hoseok throws up, and uses toilet tissue to wipe off the corners of his mouth. He stands up, walks to the sink, rinses out his mouth with water, and straightens his sport-coat.

Don't let him see you sweat.

Hoseok lets out a harsh throaty cough before returning to the gymnasium, greeting the alumni who enter. He already smells of rum and coke when Min Yoongi walks through the front doors, alone.

Don't let him see you sweat.

Yoongi spots Hoseok immediately and his heart stops. Yoongi drags his feet slowly. Hoseok is checking tickets—he is the reunion's greeter. There is no avoiding Jung Hoseok. Min Yoongi turns around and walks back outside, only to be pushed indoors by a crowd of people. Suddenly, Hoseok and Yoongi are standing toe-to-toe.

Ticket, Hoseok requests, without looking up from his own two hands. Yoongi slips it out of his coat pocket and gently puts it into Hoseok's grip.

You're all set, Hoseok mumbles, choking back a tear.

You haven't changed a bit, Yoongi scoffs, passive-aggressively as he walks toward the center of the gymnasium, searching for old friends.

You have, Hoseok coughs back bitterly, as the next guest walks up to meet him.
Yoongi barely hears the snide remark as he sees Park Jimin, jogging towards him.

Hey, Jimin exclaims, I haven't seen you in ages! Actually, no one has...The Art Club has stayed in touch, for the most part. What happened to you?
Yoongi sighs, and puts a hand on Jimin's shoulder. He explains the breakup, and the way that he picked up his things and left, without a trace. Jimin shakes his head, and smiles shyly.

We should all get together sometime!

I live in Seattle.

Whoa...far trip you've made...

I'm not sure why I'm here. I never came to school events as a student...

I was just with Nic and Taehyung. They'll be pleased to see you. Come on, let's turn your night around.

A few hours wouldn't kill me.

Yoongi smirks, finalizing his plan as he takes Jimin by the hand. Jimin is leading Yoongi to old friends.

Jimin is the best way to hurt Hoseok.

Hoseok scowls at Yoongi from across the room, and leaves his post as the greeter for the night.
...

Yoongi has always been amazing at making Hoseok jealous.

Hoseok wants to get out of here.

Hoseok doesn't want to see Yoongi ever again.

Hoseok's feet have a mind of their own.

Hoseok charges to Yoongi—impulsively and absentmindedly.
Yoongi, Hoseok says when face-to-face with Min Yoongi, who is frowning sarcastically with hands on Jimin's waist.

We need to talk, Hoseok says, grabbing Yoongi's wrist and pulling him into the restroom stall—where he sat moments earlier in cowardliness.

Okay, Yoongi says, sitting on the bathroom floor, Fine. You want to talk? Let's fucking talk. First and foremost—when did you get this demanding?
