Rapunzel POV
I flew to Corona with Flynn and we searched for the tower he mentioned. We found it and Flynn flew in through the window while I looked outside."Blondie. You're going to want to see this." He called from inside. I went inside and saw paintings everywhere.
"Its beautiful." I said staring in awe.
"Yeah come see this though." He moved a wooden door thing and it revealed a painting of a girl looking up at floating lights. The girl had long blonde hair just like me.
"Maybe she's a relative." I shrugged. As we kept wandering around I found a piece of paper lodged underneath a loose board in the stairs. "Flynn?" I called. He came forward to see what I was looking that.
It was a wanted poster for Flynn Rider. His picture and everything.
"That's definitely not me."
"Look at it! It looks just like you!" I said exasperated.
"No it doesn't! Look at the nose." As my eyes focused on the center of his face I broke out laughing.
"It's a mirror image I don't know what you are talking about." I smirked. He groaned.
"You're a jerk." He stuck his tongue out at me and I giggled. Soon enough he joined in and we just laughed.
I started to walk away, to keep looking around, but I tripped and landed in his arms. I felt a spark, something I'd never felt with Hiccup. It felt nice to be in his arms and I could tell he felt it too.
He let me go and we let out a small laugh before sitting on the window sill and talking. It was mostly just small talk. Until he asked,
"Whats the date today?"
"June 21st." I said nonchalantly. Flynn jumped up grabbing my hand. He dragged me out the window and we flew to a place that had boats docked. "Flynn what's going on?" I asked.
"Just wait. I have to do something. Stay here." He ran away, leaving me alone. When he came back he held two lanterns.
"What are these for?" I asked as he passed me a lantern.
"Every year on this very day, the King and Queen sent out a lantern to mourn their lost daughter, the princess. Eventually the kingdom joined in. It's now a tradition in Corona." He explained. As his story finished I saw the first lantern. It was quickly followed by hundreds more. I stared in awe at the beautiful floating lights surrounding us.
Flynn lit our lanterns and helped me send them into the sky. It felt so amazing to be a part of something so incredible.
"It's wonderful." I smiled. I turned my head and saw that Flynn was a lot closer to me than I thought he was. His face was mere inches from mine but I didn't care. I began to lean in closer. He noticed and did the same. In an instant our lips touched and I didn't feel sparks. I felt fireworks. Then an entire lifetime flashed before my eyes. When I pulled back I saw everything clearly.
"Eugene?"
"Punzie?"
