Elsa POV
"That's why you were so mean to us. You were jealous!" I realized as I pulled away from Jack. He scoffed and ran his hand through his hair.
"I was not. I don't get jealous." He protested.
"Yeah right." I rolled my eyes. I began to process the fact that Jack was in love with me. "If you love me and I loved you...We have to kiss so I can remember." Jack nodded. I blushed at the new information. "Well then let's get it over with." I leaned in but Jack dodged my attempt.
"Woah, I'd feel much better if you actually wanted to kiss me." He sighed.
"I kinda just met you." I reminded him.
"We still have time to kill... I have an idea." He flew away and I went after him. He brought us to an amusement park. He stood in a line of people and I felt self-conscious.
"Jack, people can't see me." I frowned as we moved closer to the Ferris wheel.
"Trust me." He whispered something to the guy running the ride and the guy let him in. Jack held out his hand for me and we climbed into the Ferris wheel pod. I sat down across from him.
"How did you do that?"
"I'm the guardian of fun. I have my ways." He winked.
"I thought you were the guardian of winter or snow days or something."
"Every guardian has a center. North explains it better than I do but we all have a core value, the center of our personal Russian nesting dolls. Mine's fun. North's is wonder." I thought for a moment.
"If I'm a guardian now, what's my center?" I wondered.
"That's something we have to figure out before you can become a full guardian."
"How did you figure it out?"
"When I got my memories back, I remembered how I died. I was saving my sister and I told her we were going to play a game. I was able to save her with fun and I guess that's my center. Fun connects me to my sister even after all these years without her. I think that's why it's my center." For some reason, hearing Jack's story made me feel closer to him. His love for his sister made me feel deeply connected to him.
"Jack, why did you fall in love with me?"
"For one, you're incredibly beautiful." I blushed and rolled my eyes, trying to ignore the butterflies. "There was this one day when you were yelling at me and I saw this passionate look in your eye. This twinkle that intrigued me and scared me all at once. From there it just spiraled out of control. The sound of your laugh. How annoyed you got when you needed to ask for help. Then I found out you were like me and everything fell into place. It felt like we were meant to be together." Jack stopped talking and looked up, meeting my eyes with a loving gaze. "I'm rambling, aren't I?"
"Jack?"
"Yeah?"
"I want to kiss you now." I scooted over to his side of the Ferris wheel seat and placed a hand on his cheek. "I want to remember." I pressed my lips to his and he responded immediately. I felt fireworks shooting through me and everything felt perfect. My head began swirling as memories flooded back in.
"Els?"
"Jerk Frost." I grinned as I rested my forehead against his.
"Welcome back, Snowflake."
