Astrid POV

The first few weeks had gone smoothly. Everyone had explained what happened before they got their memories back. The Guardians went back to training the new Guardians so they could be ready if needed.

On Valentine's day, Elsa found herself travelling the world, spreading love to everyone. Her new abilities allowed her to spread love and strengthen relationships. It seemed to be working for her as well. Her relationship was stronger than ever.

When she returned, Jack had planned a special evening for the two of them and had given her a ring, promising him to her for the rest of their lives.

Hiccup and Merida had been spending more time together. I had spent some time with them and was impressed by how much Hiccup had grown since our relationship.

Rapunzel and Eugene had gone to Corona for the annual lantern festival. They had returned happier than ever.

Anna and Kristoff had gone back to Arendelle to find Sven.

Things were finally good for everyone.

It was time for me to go back to Berk. I wasn't a guardian. I only went back because I was worried about my friends. Now my friends were fine and it was time for me to go back to my old life.

I wasn't a fan of sappy goodbyes so I packed my bag and went into North's office. He looked up at me, clearly knowing what was happening.

"Are you sure?" I glanced behind me looking at my friends, laughing and talking. I smiled to myself. My work here was done.

"I'm sure." North smashed a snow globe and sent me on my way. I landed in Berk and it felt good to be back. I was met with Stormfly, followed by the other riders.

"Hey Astrid, it's good to have you back." Fishlegs engulfed me in a hug and I smiled as the others joined in. Things would be different without Hiccup but we would make it work. Together. "There's someone we want you to meet." An unfamiliar boy stepped out from behind the group and smiled at me.

"I'm Eret, son of Eret." I was flustered for a moment before regaining my senses.

"Astrid." I introduced, shaking his strong hand. It seemed like things wouldn't be so bad after all. His grip on my hand lingered and I had to force myself to look away so I didn't get lost in his eyes. "It is really, really good to be home."
